Review of Sinhgad College of Engineering.
Placements: Every year, around 50% of students get placements. The placement cell of our college is very active. Many companies like TCS, Accenture, HCL, etc., visit our college placements. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA - 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is huge. Our college has huge classrooms, labs, and libraries. Libraries have all the books. Our department is huge. Each hostel room has 2 beds. All rooms are cleaned daily. The quality of the food in the mess is very good. Our college has a ground to play outdoor sports like cricket, hockey, etc.
Faculty: All faculty members are very helpful and well-trained in their respective fields. The course curriculum is very relevant. It makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are easy if we study regularly.
Other: I chose this course to complete my graduation. Many extracurricular and sports activities are held in our college every month.

A good course but fewer core placements.
Placements: Placements for our department are not so good as most of the jobs are those the companies bring to offer the computer or BE people. 40-50% were only placed from the department. The highest package was 6 LPA and the minimum was 2 LPA, averaging to 3 LPA. Companies like Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Infosys etc. came. Most of them were IT firms. Roles like tester, designer, web application developer etc. were there. There were no internships for the department.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is overall on the good side with very good facilities like 24x7 library, big parking space, big campus area. Wi-Fi connectivity is there with an average speed of 500kbps. Ambulance and hospital facility with accident insurance and student medical insurance is available. Classrooms are big and good, labs are very well supported by the latest system requirements and development tools on VLSI. Sports facilities comprise of basketball, volleyball and badminton courts. Indoor games are also there. Food is normal and some varieties are available in good cost with good quality. Hostel rooms are good and available according to our choices and requirements with solar heaters. No issues from my side about infrastructure.
Faculty: The faculty here is a combination of good and average teachers with an experience ranging from 5 years to 20 years. They are helpful and knowledgeable during projects they help a lot. Teaching is done through discussions and mainly based on computers. student to faculty ratio is 6:1. Industrial project handling was done by me which was offered through my faculty. The curriculum was good, very interesting and was useful.
