Review of Sitamarhi Institute of Technology.
Placements: I completed my Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering (AI&ML) from Bihar Engineering University, batch of 2020- 2024. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, and startup cells visited our college.
Infrastructure: Our college has a well-developed infrastructure for academics and hostels. For the course, we have modern classrooms with smart boards, well-equipped computer labs, and a rich library with access to both physical books and online resources. The campus also has Wi-Fi connectivity, seminar halls, and dedicated project labs for practical work. For the hostel, the facilities are good, with separate hostels for boys and 2 girls. The rooms are spacious and available in both single and shared occupancy. There is 24/7 security, clean drinking water, regular cleaning services, and good-quality food provided in the mess. Basic amenities like laundry, a gym, and recreational areas like a TV room and indoor sports are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members in our course are well-qualified and experienced, with many holding advanced degrees like M.Teach and Ph.D. They are supportive and focus on both theoretical understanding and practical applications. Some professors also guide students in research projects, internships, and career planning. The curriculum is designed according to the latest industry needs, covering core subjects, electives, and project work. It is updated regularly to include new technologies and trends.
Other: I am part of the 2024?2028 batch, pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (B.Teach) in Computer Science and Engineering from [Your College Name]. Throughout these four years, we have been trained with a strong foundation in core technical subjects along with exposure to the latest industry technologies.

B.Tech. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2027
3.8
2Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Decent college with active student participation but lacks strong faculty support.
Placements: The placement scenario in my course is improving, but there is still a long way to go. Around 40-50% of students in my batch managed to get placed, with the highest package reaching around 10-12 LPA, while the lowest is around 3-4 LPA. The average package hovers between 5-6 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and a few startups. Internships are not guaranteed for everyone, but around 30-40% of students secure them, mostly in startups or through personal efforts. The top roles offered are software developer, data analyst, and system engineer. Placements could be better with stronger industry tries.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my course is decent but not exceptional. Labs for CSE are well-equipped with computers, but other department labs lack proper equipment. Wi-Fi is available but not always reliable. The library has a good collection of books, but journal access is limited. Classrooms are basic, with no modern teaching aids. Hostel conditions are barely average, with cramped rooms and poor hygiene maintenance. The mess food is repetitive and not the best in quality. Medical facilities are lacking, with no president doctor. Sports facilities exist, but maintenance is poor, making them underutilized.
Faculty: The faculty in my course is a mixed bag. Some professors are knowledgeable and helpful, while others lack strong teaching skills. The course curriculum is decent but not entirely industry-focused, requiring students to put in extra effort to gain practical skills. Labs for core subjects like AEC and WMP lack proper equipment, which affects learning. Semester exams are moderate in difficult, mostly theory-based, with a decent pass percentage. While passing is not too hard, excelling requires thorough self-study. Overall, improvements in faculty quality and hands-on learning are needed.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in coding and problem-solving. The best part is the exposure to tech, coding competitions, and projects. However, the curriculum could be more industry-oriented, and labs need better equipment. The campus has a decent crowd with strong participation in events and fests. Connectivity is an issue since the location is remote. Scholarships are available, but the process can be tedious. Extracurricular activities are good, especially in cultural and tech events. Overall, the experience has been a mix of opportunities and challenges, making self-learning essential for growth.

All about my college SIT, Sitamarhi.
Placements: In our college, most of the students of computer science and engineering branch will get placements and other branch students also get placed. Placement ratio is not good. Only 30% to 40% of students got placed. The highest package offered in our college is 7 LPA, and the lowest package is around 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies that offer placements are TCS, Tata Steel, Salesforce, etc.
Infrastructure: In my college, class facilities are good and Wi-Fi is also available for students in the administration building. Library is also available and we can get books from there. In my college, there are 3 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels. Our college provides lots of facilities in the hostel like Wi-Fi, a water cooler, and a separate room for students also. There is a playground where students play volleyball and cricket.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Many teachers are from IIT graduates but they don't teach like in a proper way. Self-study is also important for understanding classes to run regularly. This course is relevant. It is a government college and students who have weak financial conditions can get admission there. Admission fees and semester fees are not high. Semester exams are not hard and not easy. In exams, most of the question comes from previous year's question papers. It helps a lot to pass in semester examination and pass percentage is around 5 CGPA in a semester.
Other: I am a student of the CSE branch. I chose this course because it will be in high demand in the future. New India will work on new technology and data science AI, these are the best things about my course. I want to improve my coding skills and faculty members help us to solve doubts. In my college, not many events are held. But annual functions, cricket matches, drawing competitions, and Saraswati Puja all types of events and fests are held. Many students get online scholarships.

B.Tech in Civil Engineering with Computer Application - Batch of 2027

My college life. I suggest all students to take admission here.
Placements: I'm currently at Sitamarhi Institute of Technology pursuing B.Tech in civil engineering with a specialization in computer application. This is a new branch introduced by Bihar Engineering University, Patna. This course is highly valuable compared to the civil branch. The average package is almost 5 LPA. Top companies which give placement are TCS, Bijyus, and Tata.
Infrastructure: In this college, they provide hostel and mess facilities. Hostel rooms are very nice and also provide chairs, study table, and bed and also provide Wi-Fi and lift facilities in this college. Mess is moderate you can't expect much but good. Library is available for college students. In library Wi-Fi and AC are also available, and books are available enough for your study. Facilities are provided like Wi-Fi, lift, and canteen. Sports grounds like cricket, badminton, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are nice but some teachers like guest faculty members are less knowledgeable. Overall my experience permanent teachers are knowledgeable they teach and behave very politely. They support and motivate weak students by allowing studying. Semester exams are moderate not much harder that's good for an average student.
Other: The factors that made me choose this college because this is a government college and the value of the degree is government. The admission process is very simple because you need to clear the entrance exam. The name of the exam is BCECE and JEE Main.

B.Tech. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2027

A college with less fee at a lower rank.
Placements: I am enrolled in a 4 years engineering course of CSE. The placement opportunities are not so good in the college with only a few companies visiting for placements. If you master your course with dedication, then you may apply for off-campus placements and get a decent job.
Infrastructure: Since this is a government college so the infrastructure is not so good but it’s not too bad either. You get a library, labs and good classrooms with digital board in the campus. In the hostel, you get clean rooms consisting of 3 beds, 2 tube lights, and 3 study tables in a triple sharing room. Canteen is available in the hostel. You can get mess food but the quality is not so good.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, they were hired here after qualifying the entrance exam. The teachers are supportive and they take the classes daily. 75 attendance is compulsory for the faculty as well. Course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry ready but you have to take some online courses as well. Semester exams are not too tough with all the questions being asked from within the syllabus. Almost all the students who attended the classes regularly and studies well, definitely passed the exams.
Other: The class size is of 60 students in Computer Science branch which is the leading branch all over world. In this course, there is a high chance of getting a placement. If more company visit the campus, more placement opportunities will be available for the students. The college fee is very less like you can complete your engineering degree in less than 60000. Events are organized every year by the end of December. You can get scholarships here if you come under some category, except the general category. Campus is in a village area but you can find some shops nearby which will fulfill all your needs.

B.Tech. in Computer Engineering - Batch of 2027

Life in SIT Sitamarhi is challenging because of lack of facility in academics and faculty.
Placements: Very few students of the passing out batch were placed in the on-campus placements drive. Few of them got placed in companies like Byjus. The highest package offered was 6 LPA and the lowest was 2 LPA with an average of 3-4 LPA. Mainly, small companies and companies like Mahindra and TCS are recruiting but in a very small number. In one batch, maximum of 10% students get on-campus placements.
Infrastructure: Since I am in the Computer Science branch, the computer labs are well designed in our academic building along with a language lab being constructed to improve the language skills of the students. One dedicated library is there from where we can issue any book to study and improve our knowledge. Our hostels are also well constructed with various facilities like water cooler, mess facility, etc. Canteen is connected to the academic building and the mess is well constructed within each hostel where quality food is provided at a cheaper rate.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and skilled. Their way of teaching is quite effective. They try to complete the syllabus. Truly saying, the first year’s syllabus has nothing relevant to make the students industry ready. But as we get promoted to the next semesters, the course becomes relevant. Semester exams are difficult as the students find it very hard to complete their syllabus on time, especially in the Maths department.
Other: I chose Computer Science engineering. Best things about our course is that the faculty members of this branch are very supportive and effective. Few more labs should be installed so that a coding culture can be started in our college. Very few events are organised but indoor games are conducted regularly. Recently, a plantation event was also organised to improve the environment of our college. It is well connected to Sitamarhi railway station within a distance of 8 kms. Bihar government is providing scholarships which is the only scholarship available here.
