Both Assam Don Bosco University and SMIT Sikkim Manipal University offer several specialisations in the BTech course. The total number of seats offered for the BTech course at Assam Don Bosco University is 270, and SMIT Sikkim Manipal University offers 660 seats in the BTech course. Hence, SMIT offers the highest number of BTech seats.

To get admission into SMIT Sikkim, first check the eligibility criteria for your desired course because some of the admissions are based on merit and others entrance-based. Apply online through the official website of Sikkim Manipal University. The applications are usually opened in November. Candidates are shortlisted based on scores obtained in national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, NET, CAT, or MAT. For those candidates who do not have scores from such exams, SMIT conducts its entrance exam. In addition to GDPI, an MBA aspirant has to go through Group Discussion and Personal Interview. On getting shortlisted, they have to pay the admission fee to reserve the seat.

For an International Candidate to get an admission at Manipal institute of technology who can be a Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) or a Non-Resident Indians (NRI), Foreign Nationals or Indian Workers in Gulf Countries, Candidates seeking admission under this category should be a Foreign Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries must undergo a test that shall be conducted by the SMU in order for the International Students to obtain Registration Certificate or No Objection Certificate from Foreign Registration Office of India. And then follow the specified directions from the Officials at SMU for the finalisation of the admission process.

At Sikkim Manipal institute of technology for the students who are in the category of Foreign National/Person Of Indian Origin/Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries must go through a screening that will be conducted by SMU in order to get admission here. The Foreign Candidates need to obtain a registration certificate or no objection certificate from the foreign registration office located at Gangtok, India for admission.

At Sikkim Manipal Institute Of Technology there is a Proper Training and Placement Department (T&P) which is also the hub of all the possible in tractions between the Academic Institutions, Corporation Industries and others with SMIT. The aim of this department is to provide assistance in the placements for all eligible students of Pass-out Batches throughout the Campus Placement. Its members receiving the highest praise for their diverse forte from bollywood to b-boying, their musicality, and their sheer human authenticity.
• UDAAN: UDAAN has been consistently performing in various inter- and intra-college dance competitions and events and has always won the heart of audience. UDAAN came together to represent SMIT in Kaalrav ’16 and ‘17 and secured Second Prize in the Group Dance Competition. The soul and whole motive of UDAAN is to entertain people and express themselves which is reflected in their performance.
• CHROMATIX: Chromatix is the first ever Music Club of SMIT founded and established in the year 2016.The club functions as a family and gives platform for the daily advancement of an individual. Their consistency and hardwork handed the club its very first opportunity to perform in Kaalrav’17.
