It is worth studying at this college, and students gain a lot of good experiences.
Placements: The college provides good placement opportunities as it an engineering college. Internships that are provided are mostly unpaid. Grooming provided by the placement team is extremely helpful for placements, and good companies such as Accenture, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, and TCS visit the campus for placements.
Infrastructure: The college has a world-class infrastructure. It has students from all over the globe; it is a global campus. There are smart classrooms available, and the campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There is a canteen available on the campus, and the college also provides sports facilities. A hostel is also available on the campus, and food is also provided in the hostel.
Faculty: I've studied B.Tech in mechanical engineering, and faculty members in this college are from the top engineering colleges across the country. The course curriculum is designed as per the norms of the Government of India. Apart from theoretical education, they also conduct a lot of practical sessions and make students do projects.

It’s very easy and understandable.
Placements: About 90% are being placed. The highest includes 33 lakhs, the lowest includes 4-5 lakhs, and the average includes 6-7 lakhs. Companies like Mahindra, Benz, Hyundai, Cipla, and NHPC recruit. Placement is 100% in Mahindra, Hyundai, Cipla, NHPC, etc. Students are posted as Junior Engineers. It’s much easier and better to be placed as everyone gets placed in this institute.
Infrastructure: It’s very good. The institute provides 24/7 Wi-Fi facilities and better security. The library is open 24/7, etc. The quality of food is very good, but sometimes it’s not much better. CRH is open 24/7 for medical facilities. The hostel provides the best facilities in overall Sikkim.
Faculty: All the faculty are Ph.D. holders. They are well qualified and very practically knowledgeable. Yes, they make us very much familiar with the industries. If we work a bit hard before the exam, we can easily pass. The exams are conducted in 3 parts every semester. Two exams are conducted for 50 marks, and one exam is conducted for 100 marks in every semester.

Students also asked

Q:   Can I get into Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology with 70%?
A:

SMIT requires applicants to have obtained at least 55% of the possible points in their final recently qualifying exam in the relevant field to get to be admitted. Still, for B.Tech programs, the candidate's performance in the SMIT entrance exam or other recognized entrance examinations, for example the JEE/MET/SMIT Online Test, and for M.Tech programs, the candidate's performance in the SMET test or a valid GATE score, determines the admission process.

A:

Based on the scores of the MET (Manipal Entrance Test), the cut-off marks for Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) are determined.
