M.Sc. in Nutraceuticals - Batch of 2027
4.0
A review that might help you know more about the college.
Placements: As Nutraceutical is not a very well-known field. The number of students in my batch is less, but it has high career potential. The top recruiting companies include Snackible, BARC, Parle, Mondelez, FSSAI, etc., and many more. From my batch of 25 students, 7 get summer internships and will be going for internships in the coming semester. The roles my course offers include NPD Intern, R&D, and QC/QA.
Infrastructure: The hostels include everything required and are safe for both women and men. The mess is clean and offers multiple options. There is a separate building for sports. It includes multiple sports courts and is available for all students. The hostel fee is also adequate according to facilities provided.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and explain things very nicely. They put in effort and teach everything in an understandable way. Everyone is open to clearing doubts. They also encourage us to participate in extracurricular activities despite being M.Sc. students. Once you study properly, the exams are manageable, and the marks are good.
Other: I like the curriculum of this course, especially at this college. It is different from that of other colleges. My course is not that famous, which is a plus point because there is less competition and more scope. But I would like the department to increase individual extracurricular activities. Somaiya is known for its fest, crowd, and campus, so it's a big plus. Scholarships are also given if you fall under certain criteria.
