Other: Marine academy gave me an opportunity to learn the qualities to become a professional in seafaring. I had great fun during my training time as well as got brilliant faculty at the same time to get thorough knowledge of the field. All my instructors were very keen in providing the knowledge and also the infrastructure was well built and maintained.

Review of Southern Academy of Maritime Studies.

Placements: More than 50% of students got placed in our college. Many top companies had tied up with this college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college, classrooms, and library was good and neat. Many facilities were available near our college. Our college had a canteen, a cricket ground, a football ground, and a volleyball ground.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful. They were qualified in DG. Semester exams were quite good and easy to pass. The pass percentage was 40%. You can pass easily by practical and by your knowledge. If you study hard, you can pass semester exams easily.

Other: I opted for this course because of my passion for it. Our college offers many courses for merchant navy students. Our college fee is low compared to other marine colleges. It is a good college to study about merchant navy.

Is IMU Kochi more expensive than Southern Academy of Maritime Studies?

Yes it indeed is good to join but only if you can clear IMUCET-the entrance test for admission to IMU. IMU is the central government university and if you are interested in merchant navy then you should hit to one of the campuses of IMU. Be very clear of what stream you want to choose (B.Sc, B.Tech,
