Review of Sri guru gobind singh college .

Placements: There are near to 100 students overall in our college of BCA courses, and most of them have scored at least 60% to get into this college. As I am in my last year of college, I haven't gone for a placement cell drive, but I sure am planning to go as they are for our help. There are many companies that come to our college for placement.

Infrastructure: There are water coolers provided by the college on the college campus. Canteen, Stuck Shop, Nescafe, and some other shops are present on campus so that students can buy there unnecessary products from them. It is convenient for the hostelers as well as for day scholars. Library and A.C. labs are there in the college. Food provided by the college is pretty decent according to the price.

Faculty: The teachers are interactive and quite helpful. They check on us every now and then. Sometimes they also make the lecture more interesting by telling some backed stories as well. The teachers are well experienced in this course, and they are mostly present in the class. They take tests in class on a weekly or monthly basis. If we study throughout the semester, then we can easily score good marks in exams.

Other: Chose BCA because wanted to go for computer line after doing Arts. Events occurs in our college annually as well as monthly.

Best college to learn and fulfill dreams with friends.

Placements: In 2023, approximately 250+ students were placed in Computer Science B.Sc (Hons.). I don't have an idea of the percentage of students who got placed. I read that the highest package was 36.5 LPA, and the average was 5.49 LPA. According to reports, the top company was Boston Consulting Group. Among the 900 applicants, 200 received internships, with Zee Media being one of the internship companies. I rated it 3 stars because they didn't offer me a job.

Infrastructure: I was really impressed by the quality of education and the expertise of the faculty. The campus infrastructure is excellent, and the atmosphere is conducive to learning. However, the library staff and the library were understocked, and the digital resources were limited. The classroom is very good, but the washrooms are not clean. The medical facilities are also good. I gave it 4 stars because of the library.

Faculty: As I mentioned earlier, I was impressed by the quality of education and the expertise of the faculty. The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. On paper, the time teachers helped me a lot. I would give 4 stars because they mostly focus on theory exams rather than practical skills to prepare students for real-life exams. Exams are difficult, but the teachers are well qualified to teach us.

Other: I chose BCA because I love hacking or learning programming languages. SGGS College needs to focus on practical skills as well. The college crowd is good, and I love the college campus.

I am moderately satisfied.

Placements: Average package offered is 4 LPA and top hiring companies are IT companies. About 70% students got internship. There are many roles offered like data analytics, software developer and web designer.

Infrastructure: Our college got Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, mess, theatre, campus, ground and many more. Hostel is average. I did not opt for hostel but medical facilities are quite good. There are many sports like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball and many more.

Faculty: Teachers are not very lenient with students but teaching quality is good. My course has good teachers. Semester exams are moderately easy and pass percentage is good. Teachers might be helpful but you can study through YouTube for semester exams and get good marks.

Other: Our college has air conditioned labs, good teachers and excellent connectivity and it also has extracurricular activities.

I would recommend students to join this college.

Placements: Currently, most of my friends from our batch are working. The lowest salary offered was around Rs. 20,000 per month and highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000. Infosys, Netsmart are the companies in which students got placed. Around 60% of our batchmates got internships in different companies.

Infrastructure: Facilities were very good. Cafeteria, canteen, garden, Wi-Fi and labs are good. The college is budget friendly, The staff is so supportive. Medical facilities were also provided in this college, so you need not worry. Everything is good in our college but focus on your goal to get a good placement.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant because in our future everything is going to be around computers. This course is good and you can choose this option and recommend your friends

Other: I chose this course because during my +2 vacations I have joined some LinkedIn Coursera.

I do not recommend students to join this college.

Placements: Placements are rarely provided in our college. Our seniors didn't get placements. Internships are not provided to the students but they can do on themselves.

Infrastructure: Projectors are available in some classrooms. Wi-Fi, a library, 2 canteens, and a cafeteria on the top floor are available. The hostel is good. Basketball, volleyball, and lawn tennis courts are available. Our campus is small.

Faculty: Most of the teachers in our college are helpful and knowledgeable. They are great at teaching. Their teaching is interesting. Semester exams are averagely difficult.

Other: I chose this course as I am doing CA. The syllabus is vast and 1st year was short due to the pandemic.

Our college has very good facilities and infrastructure.

Placements: Many students focus on doing master's degrees. Our college provides placements at good companies but students have to make efforts to approach them.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college like the library and computer labs are good. Students study peacefully in the library without any disturbance and can borrow books from the library whenever they want. Hostel rooms are good and spacious. Good facilities are provided in our college. The hostel consists of a gym.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, qualified, good, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality depends on the teachers but it is good in this college. The course curriculum is relevant and gives much exposure to students. It is not difficult to get pass marks in semester exams. Students can get good marks if they prepare the previous year's papers.

Other: I chose this course as it helps me to get further knowledge for my life. Events and clubs are regularly held in our college. Students can join NSS, NCC, and many clubs.
