ECE is one of the most popular engineering branch of JSS Science and Technology University. When it comes to the placements, JSS Mysore offers decent placements annually. Admission to BE/BTech programs is based on the COMEDK and KCET entrance exams. The cutoff criteria is based on a valid score in either KCET or Karnataka PGCET. The overall cutoff for KCET in 2023 was 2408–90637 rank. SJCE is considered one of the best engineering colleges in Mysore for Computer Science.

There are a total of nine theory and practical subjects taught in the third semester of SJCE Mysore BE course. Since, the college has sudents coming from different backgrounds, hence, the medium of teaching is English. The course titles are as follows:

SJCE Mysore offers programmes at UG, PG and doctoral levels in the Engineering, Management and Science streams. The courses include BE, MBA, MTech, MCA, etc. Aspirants need to pass a minimum of Class 12 for UG and graduation for PG programmes. The selection to all the courses is entrance-based.
