It is one of India's best colleges for commerce.

Placements: St. Xavier's is the only undergraduate college in East India to have good placements. About 30% of the students from the batch got placed in top-tier companies like big 4 companies, D.E. Shaw and Goldman Sachs. The highest salary package was provided by D.E. Shaw, which was approximately 20 LPA, while the average salary package offered was around 4 LPA-5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Facilities offered here are standard. The infrastructure is not modern, but it forms the aura that the college has a history of more than 150 years. Our college is equipped with an auditorium which has a seating capacity of more than 500 students. There is a good computer lab for IT subjects, and there are basketball courts, etc. The library is huge with relevant books. In the canteen, rates of the food served are reasonable, and the canteen is stocked with a huge variety of food items. There is a games room with a TT table, carrom board and chess boards as well.

Faculty: St. Xavier's is known for the quality of its teaching pedagogy. The course structure is impeccable, and the teachers are learned and well qualified here. But the college can work a little on improving the class interaction levels during the first year and third year. Then the teaching becomes very interactive.

Other: St. Xavier's is unique because of its societies. Xavier's commerce society and management society provide students with a chance to understand about the outside world. They give an opportunity to students to participate in management events which give them exposure to business simulations. So, they compete with the best students across India.

One of the top commerce colleges, highly recommended for great campus life and study culture.

Placements: Around 50% students opted for placements and out of them 70% got placed. Average package was around 4-5 lacs. Top companies were delloite, mu sigma, de shaw, indigo, hdfc bank, lic, icici bank. Major internships were grabbed in banking sectors in analyst roles.

Infrastructure: Library was one of the oldest in the city. Huge collection of all kinds of books. Some classrooms had AC. All classrooms had projectors. Both male and female hostels were well equipped and clean. Had a big sports ground and two medical rooms were there.

Faculty: The teachers were quite friendly and approachable. Helped in studies and various other projects. Teaching quality was up to the mark. Huge classrooms with projectors in each room. Course curriculum was relevant to real life exposure and the students were mostly taught outside the book.

The college is well known for providing a plethora of opportunities.

Placements: Almost everybody who sat for the placements were placed. Some of the top recruiters were- Delloite, DE Shaw, EY, Futures First, SwissRe and Digit Insurance. A lot of internship opportunities were offered by various firms. Majority of the roles were offered in the finance field and then to the marketing students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. The classrooms and library are airy and well conditioned. Wi-Fi facilities are also provided to those who need it. The canteen is very hygienic and almost all the food items are readily available. There is an infirmary in case of any medical emergency.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and very knowledgeable in their respective subjects. They are very sincere and dedicated and always ready ro help the students whenever any help is required. The course curriculum is well designed. Yes, it does make the students industry ready.

Other: I decided to pursue B.Com honours from this particular college because it is one of the top commerce colleges of the country. The college is well known for providing a plethora of opportunities thus, ensuring the holistic development of the students.

It is a great college for undergraduate.

Placements: I opt for further studies, so I didn't apply to the placement cell of the college. But I heard they had good recruiters and placements. I didn't follow up with the placement salary packages or students who were placed via placement cell.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities were available when paid for it separately, but it is not included in the course fee. There are a well-equipped library and research lab. Our college does not have a hostel facility.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-experienced, very friendly and helpful. Teaching was a bit rushed due to the curriculum, but students had to keep up with it. We had rating systems for teachers so that they could also work well for students. Students were told about the difficulty and needs of the industry which prepare them for it. The course is good and well-structured, but students have to well-committed to it.

Other: College fests are great.

Placements: College invites new companies to recruit students. Top companies like Deloitte, DE Shaw, and many other companies provide job opportunities to students. It is very useful for students as they can try in such good companies. Placement opportunities are good.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided in the hostel are quite good. Even the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is good. They also provide medical facilities. Curriculum facilities are up to the mark, and the objective is to provide high-quality education to students.

Faculty: This college enjoys a pre-eminent reputation for the excellence of its teaching in its dynamic discipline. Teachers are quite knowledgeable and are always available to answer all student doubts. They are also very helpful to students.

Hi Pankaj, You asked the question way back in last year's June, it's really unfortunate that you didn't get any answer. I wasn't there at that time. Anyway, SXCKOL actually doesn't have any foreign quota but there are other reserved categories, you can find them in the website. All the best.
