The college has a good name in academics and athletics.
Placements: Our batch was the first to get the placement in top most companies of Chennai like Cognizant, Goldman Sachs etc. The highest salary offered was Rs. 15000. Being a fresher, the salary was a great start for them. Also, they get a chance to meet the artist to work for the art Chennai exhibition.
Infrastructure: They provide a good environment. There is a great library with all the equipment provided. Nearly 100 pupils can be accommodated in our painting lab. The college has good classrooms with separate chairs and tables. Good quality food. The library books are more valuable because we can't find any art library other than this college.
Faculty: The faculty members are good in communicating with the students. We have a mentor so that the students can share their needs about the learning and personal information. Teaching methods like chalk and talk, PPT etc. are used. They are more helpful in bringing out the best outcome each year.
Other: Stella Maris college is a good exposure for the students who come from the remote areas. The college will mould them according to the situation. Also, it's a very safe and secure college for women in Chennai. In 2014 our junior batch started painting the outside wall of the college with different themes.
