Our college is very good.
Placements: Our college is good at providing placements to students. The expected salary package is 4 LPA. Many students are placed in cine fields in our course. Our college has links with many cine industries.
Infrastructure: Hostel and course building has good infrastructure. Mess serves good food. It serves non-vegetarian food 3 days a week.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and highly talented. Many of them are Ph.D. holders. Many of them are from the cine industry and teach classes practically.
Other: I chose this course as it is very good.

Good infrastructure. Good interview experiences.
Placements: Srm also offers excellent internship. Majority of tech businesses coming to recruit us. It also holds the record for having the most corporations in a single day. The package on offer is reasonable.
Infrastructure: Aarush is the name of the yearly tech festival at SRM. And milan is name of the cultural festival. SRM's library is one of the largest in India. Having books in every category is imaginable. Students are invited to join a variety of clubs that collaborate to create various mechanical devices.
Faculty: There is a less number of faculty compared to student ratio. Maximum of all the faculty will be Ph.D. completed staff. Exams and other ct exams and model exams are at time the best. Exams are bit tough and can be cleared. There is only one round that is an interview. They will ask about the college and why did you choose the college your answer must be crystal clear so that they easily consider you for admission you should have general knowledge on all topics.

Amazing College life, Great campus and great people. Studies and career wise not bad.
Placements: 50% placements. the highest salary 4 Lacs per annum, the lowest 1 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting company was Infosys and cognizant. People got internship offers with a stipend from Anim maker company and without a stipend from zero gravity company and not many companies came for campus interview.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are really good, the price is a bit expensive but still a good option if you can handle the food which they provide, because there is no option to stay in hostel without paying for the food. If you want to stay in hostel, you have to pay for food.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful to interested students who want to learn. Many students just want to spend their time having fun so the teachers themselves doesn't give so much effort in taking classes, but if anyone is interested and curious to learn and asks doubts the teachers are ready to answer and help him/ her to learn the subject. The course curriculum can be developed. The teaching quality was 5/10. It doesn't make the students industry-ready.
Other: I am interested in visual effects and motion graphics and I wanted to learn about movies and movie making so I chose visual communication.

It is the right college to study this course in a friendly environment.
Placements: More than 60% of the students get placed. The salary package offered varies from the field they choose, and every profession has different salary packages. Content writer, graphic designer, photographer, director, actor, etc., are the top roles offered to students. The salary package offered is 3 LPA. Almost 80% of the students mostly get an internship.
Infrastructure: The college provides facilities like photography lab, 3d and 2d lab, editing studio, recording theatre, library, air-conditioned classrooms, playground, hospital. The food served is hygienic and tasty at an affordable price. Sports and medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Professors of our course are well-experienced and knowledgeable in their fields. The course curriculum is relevant, and it provides you enough information and a basic knowledge of several fields.

Best to get exposure in it.
Placements: I have passed out in the year of 2017-18. The percent of the students were placed in the course is like 60%. The average salary per month was 25k. For my course we get like pixel and tata cognizant and to select us for graphic designer post mostly. Package would be like 3lacs to 5lacs. And finally the students internship will be for 100% and must to do for everyone for the last 3months in the final year of the course.
Infrastructure: The quality of education is good. To talk about labs, classrooms, Wi-Fi are we get provided everything that is needed for our education. They have Wi-Fi for each and every classroom. Then the library it is the biggest building in the campus we get all kinda books we need. We have many canteen with good food items. Sports have an most important role to play with student life.
Faculty: Yes they were helpful. And well qualified enough to teach. And well knowledge in their respective field to teach. The quality of their teaching best according to their knowledge in their respective field of education. It makes the students industry that I can't give any assurance about it.

Review of SRM IST - SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
Placements: I don't know about the exact numbers, but very few students got placed. I didn't go for campus interviews because I had other plans. Cognizant is the top recruiting company. Role of a graphic designer is offered. I don't know about the salary packages offered because I didn't attend any campus interviews. Almost 70% of the students got internships in the top television studio companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are good for the course to learn. There are good sports facilities. I stayed outside the college, but my friends stayed in the hostel. The hostel infrastructure is good, and also the food served is good. I visited the hostel and the mess a few times.
Faculty: Overall the quality of teaching was okay because few were very good and remaining were very bad. So I say it was an average. The course curriculum is relevant. It doesn't make students industry-ready at that level. Apart from the curriculum, they teach you more. The theory would be less. Most of the time, we will be in various practical labs.
Other: My aim is to become a film director, so my friend suggested me this course. Doing more practical stuff doesn't get you bored with learning the subject. Teaching faculty of the college should be improved. Events and fest are good. The campus surroundings, campus crowd, extracurricular activities were also good. Visual communication is a very basic course about explaining all kinds of media and film industry.

Review of SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
Placements: Placement drives are conducted at the end of the 5th semester and also after the final semester exams. Many known brands such as Zippy, Zebronics, and Amazon, etc., visited the campus for placements. They conducted their interviews fairly, and it was a great experience. The most important thing is that all the jobs offered were field-based jobs for visual communication students such as content writer, graphic designer, etc. All these things are taught to develop us. I got placed in Zebronics as a content writer with quite average salary package. So placements were good here.
Infrastructure: The entire SRM campus is huge. There are different blocks for different departments. There is an engineering block which also has SRM Administration building. There is an dental college along with SRM Dental Hospital. There is an arts and science block. The infrastructure of SRM is quite modern and a very much look like a 21st-century college. Our labs in our block were great. We had access to a lot of equipment like 5D camera, mac books, editing rooms and audio recording studios. The infrastructure of the college was welcoming as classrooms were well lit with both sunlight and the electric lights. Even fans are available in classrooms. We have lift facility in all blocks.
Faculty: Our college mainly constitutes of teachers who are just graduated. Hence they were new to the job but passionate about the teaching. We are studying in the studio visual media of school. The course curriculum constituted of film studies, script writing, and some other subjects. There are mainly divided into three categories, i.e., pre-production, production, and post-production. We were taught each of these process and the steps followed in them. We were provided training in all post-production works like editing, voice recording, and cinematography. Hence we successfully submitted a short film and a documentary at the end of the year as a project using all the skills acquired here.
Other: The campus life at SRM is quite fun and lovingly. There's always breeze throughout the evening. Even some festivals and events are conducted at our college every year. The most important event organised here is Milan. It includes all kinds of competitions. We submitted a short film during MILAN and won the best director award.

Good infrastructure and facilities, but poor faculty.
Placements: The placements are quite good for computer students, not for other departments. The college faculty do not have much talent. So, we have to learn on our own. It is one of the awesome colleges in Chennai to enjoy college life. Placements are not much as expected. The students who need good placements, kindly, don't join this college.
Infrastructure: The college has free Wi-Fi facility in library and classrooms. A hospital is available for 24 hours. The infrastructure is good for engineering students, not for humanities and dental, as it is poor. The canteen's name is Java Green, all kinds of food are available there. Even a subway is available.
Faculty: The faculty are the worst part of the college. The student-faculty ratio is 60:1. The teaching methods are normal, don't expect much, but the teachers are always helpful for students. I didn't get industry exposure from the college, only we have to get the exposure of the industry.
Other: The campus surroundings are awesome. There are many events conducted like Aarush and Milan every year. The campus is located 13 km away from Tambaram.
