The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) results are used to determine admission to SIT Pune's M.Tech programme, which is then followed by counselling. Those who have taken the GATE exam can apply online at SIT Pune's official website.

About MIT Pune, Established in 1983, MIT Pune is a division of MIT World Peace University. A wide range of engineering specialties, including Chemical, Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Environmental, Mechanical, and Petroleum engineering are among the B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. programmes that are offered. The India Rankings of Engineering 2021 published by NIRF place MIT Pune at number 138. The Times Engineering Survey 2021 ranked it 14th out of the best private engineering institutes in India. The placement rate at MIT Pune in 2021 was above 80%. Packages ranged from 6.5 LPA on average to 37.26 LPA, the highest package given in 2021. 

SIT Pune has not released its placement data for M.Tech programmes. The institute has released its placement details and the average package in 2024 was INR 9.32 LPA, whereas the highest package was INR 50 LPA. 77.8% of students who appeared for placements got an offer in the placement rounds. The placement data consists of BTech and M.Tech data combined, candidates should make their decision accordingly.

SIT Pune admission takes place through GATE. Candidates applying for admission in the M.Tech programme have to apply and appear for the exam and secure a valid score to be eligible for admission in the programme. The institute does not conduct or recognize results of any other exam for its M.Tech admissions.

Both the colleges offer M.Tech programmes through GATE & MHTCET entrance exams. Candidates should make their decision accordingly.
