A genuine review of Techno Main Salt Lake.

Placements: About 60 percent of students have been placed so far through on-campus placements. The highest package offered is 13 LPA from IDFC First Bank. The lowest package offered by TCS is 3.4 LPA. Students are offered internships from Keysight Technologies & Cognizant.

Infrastructure: Rooms are very good, with good lighting and fans. The lab facilities are also very good, with full monitors and internet connections.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in sharing their knowledge and guiding us in our career pathway. The course curriculum is made by our university. It is of the old generation. The course curriculum does not follow new market trends. Departmental teachers are well-educated and teach us very politely. They are very student-friendly.

Other: I am passionate about becoming an engineer, so I chose this course. The best thing about this course is that it enhances your knowledge of the real market situation. It helps in gaining knowledge and allows students to implement it to build real-life projects. The campus is good. Many functions and other activities are held frequently.

Go for Food Technology in this department, but try to focus on your studies.

Placements: ITC, Canine Craving, and DBPL are the major recruiters. The percentage of students placed is 70%. The highest package is 4.6 LPA by ITC. The lowest is 1.8 LPA by DBPL. ITC and TCS are the top recruiting companies. Almost 100% of students get internships. The top roles offered are QA/QC roles.

Infrastructure: Hostel is not available. Labs are well-structured. Classrooms are quite good. Wi-Fi is not very strong. A library is available with major books, and if required, they provide them. Sports are held a lot. Classrooms are well-equipped. The majority of classrooms have AC.

Faculty: Most teachers are Ph.D. holders. This course does make students industry-ready. It mostly depends on the students. Semesters are quite tough due to MAKAUT's strict rules. Most students are industry-ready. In the 7th semester, they do internships. This helps them become industry-ready.

Other: Food Technology has scope for further growth, as food will always be in demand. The best thing about the course is that it is quite easier than courses that are mostly Physics- and Maths-based, like CSE, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.

TMSL is an above-average college.

Placements: Placement opportunities for students with DGPA above 7, considering good communication skills, are available. The highest package of last year was 8.5 LPA, whereas the lowest was 1.5 LPA. Companies come for sales, marketing, HR, and operations roles. Internships are also available for eligible students on campus.

Infrastructure: The college has air-conditioned classrooms. There is a good library and computer labs with internet and Wi-Fi on the campus. There are many sports and extracurricular activities organised for students. The campus is clean and nice and helps the students a lot. In short, the college has very good infrastructure and is helpful for education and overall development of the students.

Faculty: The faculty is competent but varies in terms of teaching abilities. The programme is more focused on learning the basics of management and business, so students will need to learn new skills outside of the classroom. Semester exams are not difficult, and it is relatively easy for a student who attends classes to pass the semester.

Other: The admin office can be a bit rude sometimes.

My review of Techno Main Salt Lake.

Placements: In the IT department, the placement rate is generally the highest. Around 90% placement was reported for the 2023 batch. The average placement package is around 6–8 LPA, depending on the branch. Some leading companies like Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, and Accenture visit the campus for placements.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is modern and well maintained with excellent academic facilities. Campus provides an excellent learning environment that supports both academic excellence and overall student development. There are advanced laboratories and a well-stocked library.

Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, knowledgeable, and supportive. Students are evaluated through internal assessments, practical examinations, assignments, and semester examinations. The curriculum is regularly updated to meet industry needs and includes labs and projects.

Other: The curriculum is designed according to the MAKAUT syllabus and is regularly updated.

About college life from my point of view.

Placements: Placement in the IT department is good. All students who have good skills get placements on campus. Many seniors I know get placed. However, students need to have skills according to the job market. This is all about placements. All things are good in this college.

Infrastructure: We do not have a hostel, but the college has a canteen. Wi-Fi is available in labs, and the classrooms and infrastructure are good. Medical facilities are also available if there is any problem. We have student Wi-Fi, which is free for everyone. The college also has a good library. It provides a good college life for studying.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They teach everything properly. If anyone has questions, they clear the doubts. The course curriculum is also good. In the first year, we learn C, then DSA and many computer subjects, which help in solving problems on DSA platforms.

Other: Fests are also good. I chose this course because I love the subject and all.

Genuine review of Techno India University.

Placements: Placements are completely dependent on you. You'll get support from our college, but you have to be a top-tier student to get placed. Placements start from the end of the 6th semester. You'll also get some sort of internships if your academics are good. You can join if you're an average student.

Infrastructure: To be honest, infrastructure is average. You'll get Wi-Fi facilities. Classrooms are also decent. We have 4-5 canteens and the food is hygienic and of good quality. You'll get to see sports and games competitions every single month, like chess, FIFA, football, cricket, etc., from college groups.

Faculty: You have to complete your syllabus on your own. The teaching quality is decent. The course is relevant it'll make you industry-worthy. Semester exams are also average line, not that hard not that easy. Faculty members are good but can do better than this.

Other: I'm personally interested in Data Science that's why I took this course. The best thing is that you'll get to learn a lot of things. They should focus on practical stuff too. Event and fest culture is good in our college.
