The NIE : A Brief review .
Placements: About 90-95% of students were placed in our college. The highest package offered was about 46 LPA, and the average is about 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Mercedes Benz, IBM, Cisco, and Schneider. Many students (about 80%) get internships in these top companies. The top roles offered in our course are data science engineer and ML engineer.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are good, and the infrastructure is also huge. There are smart classrooms in every building, and the library is also good. The food quality in the hostel is also very good, but the Wi-Fi facility is a bit poor. Other than that, everything is good. The hostel also conducts various tournaments for students, which are very engaging and joyful.
Faculty: The teachers are very good and well-qualified. They are very kind and helpful. The teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready through practical labs. Semester exams are of medium level.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in machine learning. The best thing about this course is that you get to learn about the latest technologies, and it is quite interesting. The college also has various tech clubs and societies to join, which make the college campus and surroundings very good.

The only thing is a smaller number of fests; other than that, it is very good for the placements.
Placements: In our college, the percentage of the students placed for our course is around 80% to 90%. And the top recruiting companies which come to our college are TCS, Mercedes Benz, Infosys, and other reputable companies, and there are many students who got internships in the above companies and many more.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure in our college is good and we have a library where we get all the books we require. Labs are also very good and every classroom is fitted with projectors. Hostel food is also nice and there are sports and medical facilities in case of emergency.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful and they clarify all our doubts. They are well educated in our college and our course curriculum does make a student industry-ready. And exams here are a bit difficult, but we can try to master it only when we are through with the textbook and the problems or the logics thought by our lecturers.
Other: Actually, I came from a KCET background and since my ranking was something below 9k, I got this college and I got my favorite branch, which is AI and ML. There are festivals in every semester and we have two campuses: one is north, in which all computer-related businesses are, and the other is south.

Overall, our college provides decent campus placements and good academic opportunities.
Placements: Our college provides decent campus placements. Around 70 percent of placements have happened this year. The highest package was 54 lacs, which was offered by Palo Alto Company. The average is 10–11 lacs for CSE, which has the lowest package of 4 lacs. The top companies are Twilio, Palo Alto, and Cisco. Cisco hires around 10 to 11 students with a 22-lacs package.
Infrastructure: The North Campus provides nice classrooms, labs and canteens. The North Campus Hostel has spacious rooms and better facilities. However, the South Campus hostel rooms are not spacious. Wi-Fi is not working most of the time. Washrooms are not hygienic. The food is decent.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are super friendly and provide proper notes, which are very helpful for tests and exams. The course curriculum for the first year is not relevant for teaching-related jobs. Semester exams are easy and one must score 40 percent of the marks to pass.
Other: I chose this course because it offered decent placements. Seniors at this college are very helpful and will help you with placement studies. There are many events, like hackathons and DJ nights, which are very fun. In even semesters, college fests are held.

Transport is the major problem from south campus to north campus.
Placements: As AIML is new branch, there is no data related to placement, but in CSE, the placements were around 80% till now. The average package of the college in 2024 in recreation was around 7-8 lacs; for CS, it was around 9-10 lacs. And the highest package is 32 lacs. J.P. Morgan, Deloitte, Edelity, Mercedes-Benz, Cisco, Visa, etc. are the top recruiters. Internships start from the 3rd year onwards. 60–70% of students get internships at the end of the 3rd year or at the start of the 4th year in CSE and IS. There is no specific role but you get different types of roles in companies like data scientist, frontend, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi in college will be used by students so don't expect it. Classrooms are decent; there are a decent amount of students in class, around 60. labs are good. The library is also good; there you will get lots of books but the library is in a different building. The hostel is decent—not so good, not so bad. Rooms are triple-shared in the boys hostel. And there are two girls in the hostel: one is Yuvika, and the other is Yashika. Yuvika is in a nice area but Yasvika is not in a nice area. Boys' hostel hours are around 10 p.m., while girls' hostel hours are 8 p.m. The hostel food is average; if you are a north indian, it might take time to adapt. There are 4 canteens on the North Campus, and on the North Campus, there are attached washrooms available but on the South Campus, there are common washrooms. We have to travel by bus from south hostel to north campus. The day food is only available on the north campus, and it is comparatively better. Sports in NIE are decent; you will get table tennis, cricket, basketball, badminton, and football courts on the south campus, but on the north campus there are no proper courts, but there is a big cricket field there.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are well qualified; some teachers are good, and some teachers are not so good; they just complete their syllabus. Yes, almost all the subjects are relevant, except for two or three, like chemistry and biology (personal thought). Yes, there is a skill lab and innovation hub for your industrial and skill development. Exams are at a moderate level. As it is an autonomous college that sets the paper, it is comparatively easy.
Other: I am from COMEDK so I think if you are from COMEDK, your ROI is not so good. But if you are from KCET, then this is comparable to NIT's. I have an interest in AI and data science, so I have chosen this course. I am in my first year so I am studying related subjects. They will start AI courses in the 4th semester. There is one annual festival, which is called Technieks. It is good. On the north campus, there are technical events but there is a lack of cultural events. crowd is good; they are not so aggressive and they are actually good students but some students from the management quota are not good. The railway station is nearer to the south campus, around 3.5 km but the north campus is on the outskirts. Scholarships for STSC students and students from Jammu and Kashmir are available. There are lots of technical clubs, like Owasp, IEEEE, and ISSA, in which you can participate, but there is a lack of cultural clubs.

10/10 for academics, but 2/10 for cultural events.
Placements: According to my sources, approximately 90% of seniors from the previous year were placed. The highest package offered was 54 lacs, and the lowest was between 6 and 8 lacs. The top companies were J.P. Morgan, Mercedes, etc. Approximately 60 percent students had their internships in the end of 3rd year only.
Infrastructure: The course facilities are good, well-equipped labs with professional and well-educated teachers and lab attendants. The classrooms have the ambiance of a school rather than a college, I would say. The library is good for studying but not big enough for those who want to go beyond academics. The mess, I would say, is based on the mood of the cooks; generally, it's bad and a nightmare for North Indian students. I wouldn't have much expectation; its just that the food is pure vegetarian, so yeah, that's a win there. There are no sports or gaming gym facilities for girls; medical facilities are also inside the college or hostel, but there are hospitals nearby only and the warden goes only if the condition is serious and the patient is alone.
Faculty: The teachers are reliable and good I would say the curriculum is also good; they provide you with notes and PowerPoints that are sufficient for you to score well, and I would also recommend books for your own personal enhanced knowledge. The semester exam has a medium difficulty level and 40 percent is the pass percentage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Is the BTech CSE syllabus the same across all colleges?
A:

The BTech CSE syllabus differs on the basis of the college offering the course. Every college follows a particular coursework pattern set by the college committee. Q:   Are there any hands-on labs or internships included in the BTech CSE coursework?
A:

The BTech CSE syllabus is incomplete without regular lab classes and internship programs because of the importance of programming, software development, and AI and ML knowledge required in the CSE field, which cannot be taught only through theory classes.

Premier institutes often collaborate with leading industrial partners to provide their students with the best internship exposure and training opportunities, which may act as an entry point to excellent earning opportunities later.
