B.E. in Biotechnology Engineering - Batch of 2027

The Oxford College of Engineering is a good place to study.
Placements: I am a B.E biotechnology student as per my opinion, the college is good based on academics. But it's been 2 years, and I will be passing out in 2027. I do not know much about placement and all but I think you can get an average placement here.
Infrastructure: It's good although better food and all. We have library and everything is fine. But there is a lot of infrastructure work going on around the campus, maybe 3-4 years it will be much better and good for now. It's still an average because of the construction work going on.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, helpful, and explain concepts clearly. Teaching quality is good, with a focus on both theory and practical. The course curriculum is updated and mostly relevant to industry needs. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, neither too easy nor too tough. The pass percentage is usually high if students attend classes and study regularly.
Other: They provide us SSP scholarship. There are no such events taking place.

B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2027

Technically strong curriculum with good faculty support and a vibrant campus life.
Placements: I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The Oxford College of Engineering, Bangalore, in the 2021-2025 batch. In our course, approximately 70% of eligible students secure placements through campus recruitment drives.
Infrastructure: The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department at The Oxford College of Engineering offers excellent infrastructure. It has well-equipped classrooms and department-specific laboratories. It includes the electrical machines lab, power electronics lab, and microcontroller lab. All supported by industry-relevant software such as MATLAB and KEIL.
Faculty: Faculty in the electrical and electronics engineering department at The Oxford College of Engineering are well qualified, experienced, and supportive. Most professors hold postgraduate or doctoral degrees and are approachable for academic doubts, project guidance, and mentoring.
Other: I am from the 2021-2025 batch of EEE at The Oxford College of Engineering. I choose this course because of my deep interest in electronics, automation, and hands-on technology. The best things about the course are the practical-oriented labs, supportive faculty, and opportunities to work on real-world projects like IoT, embedded systems, and power systems.

College is not bad but it lacks proper infrastructure.
Placements: More sales companies are coming this year instead of technical companies. Only a few people got placed in technical. The highest was 23 lacs per annum but that person got from our campus and the minimum package is 3 lacs per annum. No companies come for internships.
Infrastructure: The labs don't have Wi-Fi, the classrooms are okay, the library is also fine. The hostel is better and the food quality is better than PG. Every year they go to sports tournaments in other colleges and games but there is no place for playing inside the campus and no grounds.
Faculty: Most teachers are average but some are good also with good knowledge. They follow the VTU curriculum. Semester-end exams are a little tough. The curriculum is more focused on theory rather than practical. It is good if a person wants to pursue higher education.

I am really satisfied because of our faculty members.
Placements: At The Oxford College of Engineering, students who get placed in my batch are above 40%. In this college, a lot of companies come to hire the final year students and also the third year students. It provides internships to the selected students.
Infrastructure: The hostel is also provided by the college management. The hostel is good with a good infrastructure. Food in the hostel is also good, and it gives snacks in the evening. The food quality is awesome in the hostel mess. There is also a library.
Faculty: Teachers are good, and they give 100% of efforts to get good percentage of marks in the VTU exams. Basically, this college comes under the VTU, so the rules they give are followed by the college. If we study well, there are no worries about exams as they are average.
Other: I chose this course in this college because I really love to be a good software developer.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2025

3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
This college is good to complete your master's.
Placements: About the placement rate, approximately 73-85% of students got placed across UG programs. For example, as per Careers360 reports, almost 73.9% of students got placed in 2023, while other sources list as high as 85% or more. Total number of students getting placed in 2024-25 were around 138+ via one source, and 405 via another. The highest salary package offered was up to 36.5 LPA in 2024-25. Others mention that average salary package offered was 22.5 - 30 LPA in 2022-2023. The lowest salary package offered was around 1.8 LPA. Another source state that the lowest package offered was of 4.5 LPA, but assuming that's outdated or specific to certain cohorts.
Infrastructure: Campus and buildings span approximately 6.25 to 10.5 acres with multiple multi-story buildings featuring spacious, well-ventilated classrooms. Many are air-conditioned and equipped with smart boards, projectors, Wi-Fi, and PA systems. The library holds between 12,000 and 55,000 books covering textbooks, reference works, journals, and digital/e-learning resources. It subscribes to around 100-110 periodicals and offers online access to databases. The library is open until 10 PM. We have labs and computer centers: Department-level labs for CSE, ISE, ECE, mechanical, etc., are well-equipped. For example, the ISE department has four labs covering microprocessors, web/DBMS, data structures, and ML/network, plus an R&D lab with specialized kits and workstations.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. Their teaching level is also good, with several experienced professionals teaching students. The way students interact with faculty members is respectful, and faculty members behave likewise. Overall, the teaching quality is good.
Other: I like to become a software engineer that's why I took MCA in this college.

The college is value for money and the TPO is really supportive.
Placements: Placements for SDE roles from top MNCs like Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Amazon, and Goldman Sachs too. Most of the exams and interviews are conducted in our college itself. We even had the chance to visit few companies for offers. Especially the TPO is really humble and supportive.
Infrastructure: It's a fun place to be with friends. Not that much into sports but we do go to other colleges to compete. The hostel is not upto the mark. Even the food quality is below average. The library is filled with relevant books if you want to study.
Faculty: It follows strict VTU guidelines and apart from the courses we have various training to upskill ourselves as per modern standards. Not just technical skills, we have training on-site for effective communication and aptitude too. Teachers are great here.

The Oxford College of Engineering does not have a specific cutoff. All that is required is 50% marks in 12th and a qualifying NATA score. The cutoff each year is based on the number of candidates, their performance and and number of seats.
