Absolutely dissatisfied because of placements, infrastructure, cultural events, fests, sports, etc.

Placements: Only 2 students were placed out of 50 students. The lowest package is 2 LPA, the highest package is 10 LPA. Phones Pe, Accenture. Internship is done by all the students as it is mandatory. Role as assistant, etc. There is no proper placement in our college, not worth the feels.

Infrastructure: No facilities are provided, no chemicals in labs, equipment is not working, no Wi-Fi, classrooms are not clean. No facilities in the hostel also, food is not good at all in the canteen. I saw a cockroach. No medical facilities, no sports or games, washrooms are too dirty, water is logged, and water falls from the top.

Faculty: The teachers are good, teaching quality is not so good, it's just average, but the college does not make students industry-ready at all. It is not tough to pass semester exams, it's easy if we work hard. The pass percentage is 35% in our college, as per VTU.

Other: I was interested in this course, so I chose it. My course is interesting to learn, making us learn extra courses. No events, no fests, no campus crowd, no extracurricular activities.

Our college provides good teachers and placements.

Placements: Around 85% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 22 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are IBM and Juspay. Almost 90% of students got internships in this course. The top roles offered are tester and developer.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very good. Wi-Fi speed is 100 Mbps on our campus. Many laboratories are available with computers. Digital classrooms are available. Projectors are also provided in our classrooms. The food served in the canteen is average at affordable prices. Sports are also conducted in our college.

Faculty: Teachers are the best part of this college. They are very supportive, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are very kind and explain every topic very clearly. Our course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are tough, and we can score 70% easily.

Other: The best thing about this course is that it has good scope for the future. Our campus life is good.

The college has good and supportive faculty.

Placements: The placements in our college are good for IT, but not many companies come exclusively for biotechnology. If you're looking for a good job with insurance, benefits and job security, you won't have any issues. The college also recommends companies and institutions for internships and projects.

Infrastructure: The campus is huge and has good infrastructure. The classrooms and laboratories are kept very hygienic. It also has a great central library and cyber support with internet. There's also a canteen, medical store, ATM, and gymnasium within the campus. The quality of food is good and reasonable.

Faculty: The college is affiliated with VTU and follows the prescribed syllabus. The faculty members ensure to finish the syllabus thoroughly. The training given in the labs is very clear. The teachers are very good and supportive. They are easy and pleasant during the placement process.

Our college has a good infrastructure, along with a very good library and labs.

Placements: Placements are satisfactory for all branches here, but for the biotechnology department, placements are quite less and also not related to the core. There are very good teachers to give guidance for interviews and try their level best to place students in good companies even in this pandemic period of COVID-19.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good here, and the parking facility is also good. The library is huge and has enough space for students to study. Labs are very good and have sufficient equipment and systems. All departments lab facilities are satisfactory. But there is no drinking water facility and Wi-Fi as well. Almost all varieties of food items are available in the canteen with good facility. There is no proper approach towards sports and games.

Faculty: Faculty members here are approachable and help students anytime. They have good knowledge and are well qualified. They try to make students understand the subject in-depth as possible. My domain is biotechnology, which is one of the interesting branches with a relevant course curriculum. That course curriculum makes students ready for industries those who are interested and capable.

Other: My domain is biotechnology, and this course contains subjects related to both life science and industries like unit operation, bioprocessing, protein engineering, etc. We also study the most interesting and developing field, which is bioinformatics, where students can also get admission in IITs by attending some competitive exams like GATE and others.

There are good faculty members in the department of biotechnology.

Placements: Placements are organised here despite there is a pandemic situation. Various software companies visit here for the same. The top recruiting company for the biotechnology department is Covance, which is a contract research organisation. It has recruited students for the role of interns.

Infrastructure: Labs here are well-equipped with good instruments and storage facility. There is also a biosafety cabinet with HEPA filter. The library is good with a variety of books and resources for our reference. Apart from the main library, there is a specific library for the department where books pertaining to biotechnology can be accessed.

Faculty: The faculty members here are extremely knowledgeable and skilled in their respective areas. The course curriculum is according to VTU. The course curriculum is a basic framework to join any biotechnology related industry. Although the course curriculum is good, we would need extra training to be industry-ready.

It is a good college with good placements and faculty members.

Placements: Around 30-40% of the students got placed in companies with an average package of 3-4 LPA. Most of the companies that came for placements were not core companies but were mostly from the IT or the sales sectors. The students who got placed are taken as interns for 6 months before they are offered the job.

Infrastructure: The classrooms and labs are good. The classrooms are big and brightly lit. The classrooms are also provided with OHP machines, projectors and whiteboards. Labs have all the equipment and reagents required for the experiments in the curriculum. Some equipment is old and doesn't work properly and needs repair.

Faculty: The faculty members are great and have extensive knowledge of their respective fields, but the curriculum is not up to date and doesn't make the students industry-ready. The topics are old and are not used in the present industry, while there are many topics to cover compared to the time allotted for each subject.

This is the best college for B.E Biotechnology Engineering.

Placements: I am from B.E biotechnology engineering. Around 75% of our batch were placed. The top recruiting companies were Covance and Cognizant. Even HCL Technologies, Accenture and Infosys offered placements. To be specific about our placement department, they are very much supportive and ensure that maximum students are placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is quite good. There is a tissue culture lab, unit operations lab, enzyme and biokinetics lab. Microbiology and R&D are good. Students can carry out mini-projects over there. The library is all time accessible. It has many books specific to departments.

Faculty: All the faculty members are very experienced. The quality of teaching is good. They are supportive of students getting placed. Over the completion of this course, students will be industry-ready and biotech engineers as well. The final year projects and internship are done under the guidance of department faculty members.

Other: I chose biotechnology engineering as I like biology. This course has many interesting concepts. The best thing about this course is it focuses on many experimental methods throughout.

It is a good college to join if you are interested in biotechnology.

Placements: In our college, the placements are offered by companies with good salary packages. Many companies participate in placement programs, and students are well trained to get placed in companies. Students are even trained about other departments to get placements in any department of their choice.

Infrastructure: The library contains a good number of books which can be utilised by students. The classrooms are quite good with a quiet environment. The hostel facility is good, and the canteen has a huge range of food items. Laboratories are quite good with well condition equipment, and they are up to date.

Faculty: Faculty members here are good. Students can rely on them for any kind of information regarding their education. Faculty members encourage students to develop themselves. They are qualified enough to teach students. They strive to develop themselves by indulging in some R&D work, which motivates students.
