Good placement and infrastructure.
Placements: Colleges arrange placements on their campuses, and various big companies participate. About 70 to 80% of students get placements. The maximum salary is 9 Lacs, and the minimum salary is 4.5 Lacs per annum. Also, they arrange internships in different places, and stipends are also given to them.
Infrastructure: The college has advanced, decorated classrooms and Wi-Fi facilities. The campus has a green environment, and there is an air-conditioned library with the best collection of books and a big silent study area. The hostels are present, and phones and electronic gadgets are not allowed. There is a place with a variety of playgrounds.
Faculty: Qualified and helpful teachers are present in our college. Almost everyone has completed their doctorate. They use advanced teaching methods. They help with every problem related to study. They always create a friendly environment with students and discuss their problems.

I am less satisfied with the college.
Placements: The average placement rate of our college is almost 96%. Companies from various domains offered placements to the students of particular departments. Profiles offered are management trainees ranging from the financial sector to hospitality. Summer internships are almost 100% with some minor attrition rate.
Infrastructure: The campus is not as per the optimum standards, as various amenities related to extracurricular activities are lacking. Classrooms and research chambers are vintage with minimum efforts, towards modernising them. Food served is of good standards.
Faculty: The faculty to student communication is a bit less transparent. The faculty members are highly experienced, but the teaching pattern is mostly conventional. Industrial exposure provided is less, as a few industrial visits aren't useful.

Good placements and faculty, but the infrastructure needs to be improved.
Placements: Finance and marketing department was the first department to achieve 100% placements with an average salary package of 5 LPA. Rest all the three departments have achieved 75% placements. Mainly, the students were offered jobs like relationship manager, marketing manager, etc. The college itself offers internships, but if you have contacts outside, then you can opt-out from the internships offered by the college.
Infrastructure: The campus is not that big but has the parking facility and a basketball court. The sports event is conducted behind the college, which is a common ground of St. Xavier's college and XISS. The college has two libraries, labs, conference room and auditorium. Wi-Fi facility is available in both the hostels for boys and girls. The food is somewhat eatable.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Guest lectures are organised from time to time. Famous personality form the corporate world visit the campus to give us a lecture. Each department has 7 faculty members and 60 students. A rural visit and an industrial visit are included in the course curriculum.
Other: The college has conducted a fest named Panache, and it lasted for 3 days.

Worth the investment, compared to IIMs and other B-schools, XISS is quite affordable.
Placements: Since the past two to three years, all the students of marketing, finance and rural management were placed. The highest salary offered to finance students till now is around 8 LPA. The lowest salary offered is around 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA and the average salary offered is 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Companies that visited the campus were HDFC, Samantha Micro Finance, Pantaloons, ICICI Prudential, ICICI Lombard, Ujjivan, TATA AMC, etc. Job roles offered to students include credit analyst, asset manager, etc. Around 70% to 80% students got internships from the college, and the rest of the students applied for internships on their own. The highest stipend offered was around Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000. The lowest was around Rs. 800 to Rs. 1,000 and the average was around Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000. There is a placement cell in the college. It works actively and helps students to know the information about the companies (visiting our college), job roles that will be offered, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available on each floor and also in the library. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and digital class facilities are also provided. The only problem that we face is few fans and tube lights are not working properly, and chairs are very uncomfortable to sit. The rest of the things are good. There are two libraries in the college. I never faced any issue in finding books as everything is well arranged. But I think more books should be made available because during tests and exams many students couldn't get the books due to the shortage of books. Immediate first aid is given if someone gets hurt, but if the condition is severe, then the person is taken to the hospital. In spite of having a small campus, the college tries its best to make its students perform well in both studies as well as in co-curricular activities. Inter department basketball tournament is organised every year. Students from our college participate in inter-college tournaments and represent our college. I am not much satisfied with the quality of food provided in the college canteen. Hostel rooms are also not well-furnished.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful. Students can easily contact teachers whenever they face any issue and get their problems solved. Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Many of them are ex-corporates, and they share their experiences and guide us. Teaching quality is good, and usually, teachers teach us using powerpoint presentations. They also provide us with sources that are useful to be updated. We also get industry exposure through seminars, sessions and industrial visits.
Other: Many events are organised within and outside the college premises in which students participate actively. There are different committees and clubs like Rotaract club for social service events, Pulse for cultural events, Obscura for media coverage, Embark, etc. Panache is the three days college fest organised every year in which every student is involved in making the fest successful. Campus crowd is less as there are only five departments with a capacity of 60 students for marketing, finance and IT management, and 75 for rural and human resource management. The scholarship is offered only to human resource management students by Maruti every year, and the college doesn't offer scholarships.

Worth the fees charged for PGDM, but there is a huge room for improvements.
Placements: The placement session was very aggressive. Many Companies were lined up to take students such as ICICI group, hdfc, netscribes, Ujjivan, UTI, Samastha, Change et all, Bandhan bank etc. Maximum companies offered job of CTC of 4-5 Lacs. Out of that lot Finance dept secured 100% placements.
Infrastructure: There is wi-fi on every floor with different passwords. Classrooms are good with projectors and sound systems, AC and chairs. Library is also huge and good for students referring self study. Gym, sports, Computer lab is there. Canteen is also good with huge seating area. Hostels are outside the campus.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and helpful. The teaching quality was also good but there is room for improvement. The teachers preferred teaching on projector and through bit of activities and case studies. Among 5 dept. All are having 6-7 faculty members each dept for 60 students each dept, 75 students in HRM and RM. The industry exposure is through industrial and rural visit and contests. The course is having around 50-55 papers in 20months.
Other: Event such as farewell, freshers, Panache- the college fest are there and apart from it many small fest takes place everytime. Connectivity is fair as the college is centrally located. Many extracurricular events takes place such as debate, quiz, dance, singing, creativity, photography etc.

XISS has its flagship in HRM and RM. I would suggest you to try for tier-1 and tier-2 institutes and then keep this as an option among the tier 3 for finance.
As of now all the best and prepare well for the examinations and GDPI rounds. :)

Hi,
XISS, Ranchi would have been a good choice, if you have had interest in HRM or RM, which are the flagship programmes of the institute. Also, make sure to check the placement records of both the institutes before investing in any, as ROI plays a major role when it comes to B-schools.
