Rank Card of AP EAMCET 2026: Normalisation Procedure

DeskCalendarResult: Jun ' 26

AP EAMCET 2026 was conducted in multiple sessions based on the same syllabus and pattern. Therefore, there is a possibility of variation in the difficulty level of questions. AP EAMCET normalisation is done to rule out any such variations in the difficulty level of various sessions

The normalisation process of AP EAMCET is implemented based on a simple formula, which has been adopted on the recommendation of experts from reputed educational institutions at all Indian levels and Universities. The AP EAMCET normalisation formula can be seen below.

(GMS) + [(Top Average Global - GMS)/(Top Average Session - SMS)] x (Marks Obtained by Candidate - SMS)

where
  • SMS: (Average + Standard Deviation) of the session in which the candidate belongs to
  • GMS: (Average + Standard Deviation) of all the candidates across all sessions together
  • Top Average Session: Average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the session in which the candidate belongs to
  • Top Average Global: Average marks of the top 0.1% of all the candidates across all sessions together
Basically, the aim of AP EAMCET 2026 normalisation will be to justify the candidates who got a difficult paper compared to an easier paper. In the AP EAMCET normalisation process, the marks of the harder paper may increase marginally, and the marks of the easier session may be reduced marginally based on the average performance in each session.

AP EAMCET 2026 Result: Weightage for Rank

75% of AP EAMCET normalised marks and 25% of Class 12 marks are considered for admission.

  • Candidates having qualifying marks in AP EAMCET 2025, if post normalisation, the marks in any individual subject(s) become negative, then the normalised mark(s) in the respective subject(s) are treated as zero. However, total marks in three subjects are considered AS EAPCET marks
  • For the candidates for whom there is no qualifying cut-off in AP EAPCET 2025, if the marks in all three subjects after normalisation go below zero (negative), the total marks are treated as zero, and the rank is assigned. If the tie persists, then AP EAPCET 2025 normalisation marks (though negative are considered to break the tie
