For MTech courses, the vacant seats are filled on the basis of a merit list. The merit list is prepared considering CGPA or percentage obtained in the BTech program.

For the MCA program, the vacant seats after UPCET counselling are filled considering merit, which is prepared on the basis of CGPA or percentage obtained in the graduation level program.

Seat Reservation under Management Quota

There are no such seat reservation criteria as only vacant seats fall under the management quota. Courses such as Mechanical, Civil and Electrical have more vacant seats than IT and Circuital courses like Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and its allied branches.

Also, if any student leaves the course at the earliest of the first semester, then those seats are also filled under the management quota.

Is the Management Quota Degree Valid?

Yes, a management quota degree is valid as the degree has nothing to do with the process of admission. All students graduate with a similar degree as it is released by the university and not the institute.

Management quota is only a tag till the admission procedure and once a student is enrolled, everything student is treated the same way.
