Mystory@Kumar Satyam: How I chose my course and college
Once I cleared standard 10th, I wanted to choose the same stream that my friends were opting for. After 12th, I had no choice left because my JEE Mains rank was not as I had expected. Later, I appeared for JEE Advance, but I could secure very less marks in the same, and that I was left with was only a JEE Advance rank card. I got admission in CS in PES University, and I consider this to be a good option in the present scenario as there are numerous developing IT industries in India. Furthermore, my first choice is to get a job and earn lots of money which I think that I will be able to get from here because this institute provides exposure and lots of opportunities. Also, the University is in Bangalore, which also has Electronic City where numerous well-known companies have their branches.
How I cracked college admission
I cracked the college admission by a working hard and had the determination to get enrolled in one of the best colleges in India. I appeared for PESSAT exam which conduct all over India. I took coaching from Brothers Academy which is a coaching in my native place. I think I didn’t give much attention to what they taught. IIT Bombay was my dream University, but presently I am studying in PES which is think is not as good at the IITs, but as good as the NITS in India.
What I gained from my college experience
Most of the time I am in class which is very boring but I don’t have any option as 95% attendance is compulsory. We attend all the classes because we get food court coupons there. I make sure that I take those because I don’t like the food of the mess, and since this is the first time I am away from home, it is a little difficult to manage. I enjoy both my college and hostel life. In spite of living 500 meters from the class I am never able to attend class on time. The college is good to be in. The environment is good. There are a number of extra-curricular held and college is fun. I am happy as I am following my passion of studying CS and expect to do a lot in future. I am proud to be at PES University.

Yes, a specific upfront payment discount is available; no general merit scholarships are offered. Private, NRI, or Management quota students who pay the entire remaining course fees for 3.5 years (excluding the first-year fee) in one lump sum are eligible for a 10% discount on that remaining amount.
