COVID 19 is one of the biggest problems faced by the world currently. Due to this, there is a lockdown situation in our country. So, majorly all the activities of different sectors are stopped during this lockdown and the same situation has occurred in the Education sector as no student can go to college or coaching classes for study which is creating a huge impact on the studies of every student of our country.

To overcome this problem and ensure that there is no loss or disturbance in regular studies, almost every college and institute have come up with an online platform for conducting classes. In these difficult times, it is a good option for everyone. In this article, I will discuss the long term impacts of online scenario on the field of education.

The online lecture concept is not a new thing in our country. In regular days also many institutes were using this platform but the frequency of online classes was less as compared to regular or physical classes.

The frequency of classes has increased due to the current situation. There is also no disadvantage for online scenario except for learning in which practical approach or physical presence is required.

If we talk about its long term impact, then it will surely be applied in the Education sector of our country even after the lockdown is over. In other developed countries, this method of teaching is used, so now in our country, this platform will also be used in future as well. However, this cannot be used in some fields or branches where learning without practical approach or physical presence is not possible (For example technical fields)

I feel that this concept should be appreciated and used in future in the areas where it makes zero or minor difference in online and offline medium. This process is easy, time-saving as well as affordable for every student because the transportation cost and time would be saved and also, the fees would be less as the infrastructure and other costly facilities would not be required much.

I also think that looking at good responses currently from the students, my institute would also sustain some lectures on this platform even after the lockdown would be lifted.

This platform has good potential and scope for the future, so I think it will be completely sustainable in some fields. But self-discipline would be required from students for maintaining good quality in it as lecturer cannot identify that students are paying attention or not.

Thus, with complete discipline and focus, the same environment of the offline classes could be sustained in the online classes.
