Poornima University considers three primary factors for allowing students to sit in placement drives: percentage in class 10th and 12th, aggregate course SGPA and backlogs in the previous semester. Piyush Mittal shares complete details on eligibility criteria for placements at Poornima University.

The eligibility criteria for placements at Poornima University comprises three factors primarily. First, the percentage obtained in 10th & 12th should not be less than 60 per cent. Second, you have to secure an aggregate of 6.5 SGPA in your course duration. Third, a student should not have any backlogs in the previous semester. If you take the third factor into consideration, most of the companies ask for no backlogs from students.

However, some companies consider one or more backlogs if a student demonstrates sufficient knowledge of their particular domain and field. The students are compulsorily made to attend the soft skills and CRT sessions to easily crack the interview rounds.

For B.Tech (4-year), MBA (2-year), BCom (3-year), BCA (3-year), B.Arch (5-year), the student should in the final year to be considered eligible for the placements drives, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria requirements laid down by the company/ organization. Moreover, the Training and Placement Cell does not allow students to influence to any company or recruiters by unfair means. Your Attendance will not create any negative impact on your placement eligibility criteria. The institute has no issue if your attendance is less than 75 per cent or more than 75 per cent. Therefore, you don’t need to think about your attendance when it comes to placement eligibility criteria. So, students can feel free to apply for placements with their existing knowledge and marks.

If students are selected in more than one company, i.e. if they are being offered a second job offer than they have to give a letter of regret to that company in which they were previously selected and an acceptance letter to the second company in which they are selected.

  • The students from the streams such as the Mechanical/ Civil/ Electrical are allowed to appear for the campus drive of Software/IT companies rather than just the core companies.
  • While appearing in a campus drive, a student should be in a proper formal dress code and should carry their ID Card, the hall ticket of the company, 4-5 passport size photographs and portfolio.
  • Students should always submit correct information/ data to the Training and Placement Cell. If the student gives wrong information or cheats the cell then they will be debarred or blacklisted from participating in further placement drives for the rest of remaining academic sessions.
  • If there is any misbehaviour or students do not follow the code of conduct then strict actions will be taken against the defaulter and they will be debarred from taking part in any further placement drives on the college campus.
