All of us are aware that COVID-19 has been declared as an outbreak pandemic disease by the World Health Organization (WHO). COVID-19 has affected every aspect of our lives. Moreover, it has adversely affected every sector.  It has also affected the education system globally. In the whole world, many students are quarantined in their houses as a safety measure due to this, education is disrupted.

The whole world is in the catastrophic situation, but the Government of India, Government of Andhra Pradesh as well as my college (Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati) took a great decision of continuing the classes through online mode of learning.

My college (SPMVV Tirupati) is also conducting online classes. These classes are being conducted through ZOOM app. It is proved to be useful and effective for all the students. The management and faculty of the institute are playing a prominent role in organising the online classes.

The Faculties of all the departments are taking the online classes responsibly and effectively. These classes are useful for the preparation of my final examinations, as well as entrance examinations. The syllabus of the academic would be completed by these online classes. Further, there will not be any problem for writing the final exams. Faculties from my college are trying their level best to clarify all the concepts.

Now I am in the last semester, we have only three subjects. So, daily my college allocated only three hours for three subjects for online classes. The faculty has also provided us with materials in the form of documents, pdf files for further references to prepare for the upcoming semester examinations. Most of the syllabus was completed before the lockdown itself. The rest of the syllabus is being covered in the online classes.

At present, we do not have any online assignments as before the lockdown my faculty gave some offline assignments to the students and these assignments are sufficient for us to complete during this period. Coming to the project, it was also halted in the middle due to COVID-19, now me and my batch are focusing on programming, planning to do the documentation as a soft copy, this can be available online and can be done from anywhere using internet and laptop.

For lab practical works, we have to install the software on our systems or laptop, and work on these from home.

Also, the institute is giving many opportunities by sending joining links to all the students to participate in webinar series. The teachers are making YouTube videos based on our syllabus and are sharing those links with students to learn. They are also asking us to participate in online awareness programs and write blogs. They are conducting technical and non-technical webinar sessions and virtual idea festivals through online video conference.

Also, they are providing some websites to join any e-learning courses from home which are free of cost like NEAT (National Educational Alliance for Technology) platform. With this, they are providing links to join the online hackathons, which are conducted national -level.

Learning new skills during this quarantine period has made me more excited. In my opinion, all these activities are worth to participate.
