Engineering Colleges accepting CUET for B.Tech in India

CUET UG total marks is 250 Marks for each subject. Candidates can choose up to five CUET subjects. Each subject paper has 50 questions which will total to 250 marks for each subject. For every correct answer, candidate will get 5 marks. The CUET total marks will be uniform for all 37 subjects. The Total CUET subjects marks can vary depending on the number of subjects chosen by candidates.

• If three CUET subjects chosen: 750 total marks
• If four CUET subjects chosen: 1000 total marks
• If five CUET subjects chosen: 1250 total marks

CUET UG 2026 advance city slips has been released. NTA issues the city intimation slips approximately 10 days before the exam date. CUET UG 2026 exam will be held between May 11 and May 31, 2026. NTA has released the CUET intimation slip 2026 for exam between May 11 and May 31. Only registered candidates will be able to download CUET 2026 city slip online.

CUET UG cut off will vary from course to course and universities. To know the cut off for CUET UG courses, candidates must stay updated with the notification released by the universities for admissions. As per the previous year analysis, candidates can expect the CUET UG cut off for various top courses under Arts, Commerce and Science as mentioned below:

On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2025-26, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top central  universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other universities in the desired course. Given below is the range that is considered good for admission:

• Very Good Score: 700 and above
• Good Score: 650 and above

The total fee for BTech range from INR 4.5 lakh -INR 36 lakh. The fee is calculated based on the semester fee.  Admission to BTech course is based on LPUNEST or CUET UG score. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted aspirants need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission. Candidates are first required to register with an application fee for LPUNEST. The exam fee for LPUNEST is INR 1,000 for males and INR 500 for females.

Generally, UPES Dehradun does not allow candidates to get direct admissions in the BTech courses. However, there are some exceptions where candidates can apply for UPES Dehradun BTech courses directly with their Class 12 board exam scores.

The Manipal Jaipur CSE average package or the other placement details have not been released as of now. As per the overall data available, the placement rate for Engineering courses has been the same in 2022 and 2023. The average package for the 2023 drive stood at INR 9 LPA. The BTech courses offered by MMMUT Gorakhpur last for four years. Moreover, this programme is offered with various specialisations, including Chemical Engineering,  Computer Science & Engineering,  Electrical Engineering,  Electronics & Communication Engineering and more. NTA announced JEE Main 2024 dates. NTA coducted the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions. JEE Main 2024 exam date session 1 was January 24 to February 1 while the second session was held from April 4 to 15. The total fee of BTech ranges between INR 4.50 lakh-INR 6.39 lakh.

If the candidates are applying for BTech courses other than BTech in Biotechnology, then the JEE Mains is a mandatory entrance exam for GGSIPU admission. For BTech in Biotechnology admission, candidates need to appear in either the IPU CET or CUET-UG.

Lateral entry BTech admissions at GGSIPU are done on the basis of merit in IPU CET.

Northcap University (NCU) has a capacity of about 400 students. NCU is a small-sized coeducational higher education institution with an enrollment range of 2,000–2,999 students. 

Yes, candidates passing Class 12 with at least 80% aggregate are eligible for direct admission to BTech course. Additionally, Admission to BTech course is based on national or state-level Engineering entrance exam or AMCAT score. The university also accepts CUET UG or JEE Main score for admission to all BTech specialisations. The university also accepts NEET score for BTech Biotechnology. Besides, candidates must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects is required to apply for BTech course. For Biotechnology, Food Technology and Bioinformatics, candidates need to pass Class 12 with PCM/ PCB. If we take a look at the recent trends, we can infer that the BTech rankings of Integral University are appreciating as in the NIRF Rankings and Times Rankings the institute has been able to get rank #233 and #158 which are an improvement from the last time the university was ranked in these rankings in 2022.

According to the 2022 ranking, Integral University was ranked in the range of 251-300 in the NIRF Ranking and #167 in the Times Ranking 2022. Therfore, the rankings have improved for Integral University BTech programme.

KIET Ghaziabad has mentioned that it can allow candidates to apply for BTech admissions through their Class 12 board exam scores. However, it only does so under special circumstances which have not been mentioned.

Thus, it is possible to apply for BTech at KIET Ghaziabad directly after completing Class 12th. Candidates will need to contact the admission desk to find what conditions must be met to get direct admission.

National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the CUET 2025 exam date anytime soon at nta.ac.in. It is expected that CUET UG 2025 exam will be held in May/June. The exam will be conducted in multiple slots each day. The number of CUET exam slots will depend upon the number of candidates registered for the exam.
