M.E./M.Tech	Candidates completed B.E./ B.Tech. in Food Technology/Food Process Engineering /Agricultural Engineering/Agricultural and Food Engineering/Food Technology and Management/ Food Processing and Preservation Technology/Dairy Technology/Food Science and Technology/Food Processing Technology/Post Harvest Technology/Fisheries Engineering with a minimum OGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or 7.00 out of 10 or 70% aggregate (Pass marks for SC/ST Candidates) from any recognised university are eligible to apply. Candidate must have also qualified IIFPT Entrance Examination.
B.E. / B.Tech	Candidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply. Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile. Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.

Selection criteria: Kalasalingam Engineering Entrance Exam (KEEE)

Eligibility: A pass in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology with at least 50% aggregate is required to apply for the BTech course. Candidates appearing in MPC are eligible to apply for all the BTech courses.

Candidates appearing in BPC are eligible to apply only for BTech Biotechnology and BTech Food Technology.

Students holding high school Diploma issued by Northwest Accreditation Commission– US (NWAC-US) are eligible by providing an equivalent certificate issued by the association of Indian University (AIU) for BTech courses.

Admission to BTech course is based on JEE Main/ KEE score. KEE or Karunya Entrance Examination conducted every year for admission to UG courses of Engineering, Agriculture, Biosciences, Criminology, Management, Media, Design, Nursing, Health science, Data Science, Forensic Science, Commerce, Nanoscience, Optometry. After completion of the selection rounds, shortlisted candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates need to pay the course fee to confirm their admission.

The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences and KEC - Kongu Engineering College are 2060 and 1770, respectively.
