Admission to all the BTech courses is subject to JEE Main scores and Class 12 scores(given equal weightage) for 50% of the seats and is subject to Class 12 scores for the remaining 50% of the seats. However, as per the official website, there is no fixed or specific cutoff to get a seat here. It depends on the students who score the highest marks. If a student has appeared for JEE Main then they need to apply under stream 1 of admission. Additionally, as per the data available on the internet, if a student has a score of 90-95% in Class 12 and 50-120 in JEE Main, there is a high possibility of getting admission.

At Periyar Maniammai University (PMIST) Thanjavur, the highest package available was INR 16 LPA. 1. 70% of seats are filled based on JEE Main score - 25% and normalised 12th mark - 75%

For example: JEE Main score is 185 and normalised 12th score is 95% then  the score of the student is (0.25×185) + (0.75×95) = 117.5

2. 30% of seats are filled based on normalised aggregate 12th mark or its equivalent marks.

For example:The first rank is 97% and the aggregate percentage is 90%, then the normalised percentage is (90/97) × 100 = 92.78

Admission to VIT BTech course is based on VITEEE score, followed by a counselling round. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology every year for admission to undergraduate engineering courses (BTech) of participating institutes. Every year, VITEEE is held to get students enrolled in various undergraduate courses. VIT also considers the eligibility of the aspirants for final admission. After completion of the selection rounds, the institute releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

Enrolling in BTech at IIT Madras requires candidates to clear their senior secondary board exams with solid marks. Students need a minimum of 75% aggregate score in physics, chemistry, and mathematics combined. This core educational criterion works as an essential initial filter before the board checks any entrance ranks.

SRMIST CSE average package offered during 2026 placement drive is not released. Overall average package recorded in 2026 was 7.3 LPA.

The Amrita School of Engineering BTech programme is spread across a wide array of specialisations. The institute offers 14 BTech specialisations. This amounts to an intake of 1000+ seats for admission to BTech. Among all the specialisations, Computer Science and Engineering has the highest intake with 480 seats. Some of the other specialisations with a high number of seats include Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with 240 seats each.

JEE Main 2025 exam date for Session 1 was January 22 to January 31, 2025, and Session was conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2025. NTA (National Testing Agency) announced the JEE Main 2025 exam date. The seat allotment results for Round 4 to Round 6 begain in July 2025.
