If your goal is research or a PhD later, IISc is often considered a slightly stronger choice than most IITs, though IITs tend to have an edge in industry placements.

No, GATE is not compulsory everywhere. It is required for most IITs, NITs, and IISc, and a good score also lowers your fees at government colleges. So without GATE, you still have solid options, just fewer at the top government tier.

To get admission in Assam University, students must meet the eligibility. Check the eligibility of Assam University below:

• For UG admission, students must pass Class 12 from a recognised board. 
• For admission in PG courses, students must have a UG degree in relevant stream from a recognised university. 

The application fee for the M.Tech programme at Kaziranga University (Jorhat, Assam) is INR 1,000. You can pay this fee when you apply online, submit a Demand Draft via post, or visit the university campus/regional offices.

The course is offered in full-time mode in more than five specialisations. Multiple schools affiliated under the university offer the course is m different specialisations. Total fee varies between INR 4.2 Lacs to INR 13.4 lakh. Admissions are based on Class 12 marks and Personal Interview.

The cutoff marks of Guwahati University vary from course to course. The university has provided minimum qualifying cutoff marks for admission to a majority of courses offered by Guwahati University. Candidates must have at least 45 percent aggregate in their UG programme to become eligible for the PG programme. For the M.Tech programme, candidates must have secured at least 50 percent aggregate and for MEd and Integrated MSc-PhD, students just need a relevant UG degree to be eligible.
