IIITH PGEE 2026: Registrations Open, Eligibility, Fees, and How to Apply

IIITH PGEE is an entrance examination conducted by IIIT Hyderabad to offer admission to MTech, MS, and PhD programmes. The exam is conducted once a year online and comprises of two papers. Paper 1 (aptitude, logical reasoning, computer knowledge, and mathematics) and paper II (course chosen by the applicant).

IIITH PGEE 2026 Highlights

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad has opened the IIITH PGEEE 2026 application form. The mode of filling the form is online, and the last date to register is March 31, 2026. Candidates meeting the IIITH PGEE eligibility criteria can apply online on the official website. The registration fee is INR 3100/- for all categories and is non-refundable.

IIITH PGEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad is different for all courses. The institute offer following course programmes in MTech - CSE, CSIS, PDM, CASE, and VLSI. Candidates who want to apply must have completed B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech all branches with a minimum 60% marks. IIITH PGEE 2026 Exam Format

The IIITH MTech exam consists of two papers -

• General aptitude paper - 90 minutes
• Subject paper - 90 minutes

There is negative marking (25%) for incorrect answer in both papers. The GA section comprises topics- basic aptitude, logical reasoning, and basic questions on computers and mathematics. Candidates have to appear for one of the following relevant subject papers based on graduation degree -

• Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
• Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
• Civil Engineering (CE)

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad has released IIITH PGEE syllabus on its official website. The syllabus is different for all branches. However, the general aptitude syllabus for IIITH PGEE is same. The exam syllabus covers important chapters and topics that are asked in the exam. Candidates are advised to go through their respective branch syllabus carefully. 

The IIITH PGEE admit card 2026 will be released 10 days before the exam. Only registered candidates will be able to download their hall ticket from official page. To download IIITH PGEE admit card, candidates need to provide their user ID and password. Candidates appearing for the exam must carry their hall ticket along with a valid ID proof. We advise students to keep multiple copies of IIITH PGEE admit card. 

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad will declare results after the exam on official website. Candidates who appeared the exam can check their IIITH PGEE result using their login credentials- user ID and password. 

Personal interview will be conducted for Master of Science by Research and PhD. The interview dates are 

• M.S by Research - June 10 and 11
• PhD interview (on-campus) - June 12 and 13

The IIITH PGEE result scorecard 2026 will have the following details -

• Candidate's name
• Roll number
• Marks obtained
• Rank secured in the IIITH PGEE 2026 exam

The scorecard of IIIT Hyderabad is valid for one year. Qualified candidates will be eligible for counselling process. Students will be notified on their registered email ID as well as on the official website.
