KEAM 2024 Application Form: CEE will release the KEAM application form online on the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in, in March 2024. The eligible candidates (10+2 passed/appearing in 2024) can apply for the Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical Entrance Exam (KEAM) in online mode only. The process to apply for KEAM 2024 is, first, to complete the KEAM 2024 registration by providing the basic details and creating an application number and password to login at various stages of admission. Next, candidates have to complete the fill the online application form. In the next step, candidates need to pay the online application fee as applicable with the available mode of payment. Thereafter, the candidates have to upload scanned images and certificates. Finally, as the final step of the application process, candidates have to print the submitted online form and keep it safe with them.

Q:   Is it possible for a non resident of Kerala apply for KEAM?

A:

Yes, you can apply. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for KEAM . Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders shall be treated at par with Indian citizens for the purpose of admission. However, PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible to claim any relaxation meant for reserved category candidates. Indian citizens will further be classified as Keralites and Non-Keralites. However, candidates with non-Keralite nativity cannot claim any reservation of the state. Candidates have to complete all the steps to complete the KEAM application procedure. However, it is not compulsory to complete all the steps in one go. Candidates can do each step at a different time. But they should use the 'Save' button frequently to save the entered data.

Q:   Can a student outside Kerala opt for KEAM?

A:
KEAM is the Kerala Engineering entrance examination for those candidates who wish to pursue UG engineering courses from the prestigious private and government colleges of Kerala. Yes, a student apply for KEAM if they satisfy the eligibility condition: 1. The appearing candidates should be an Indian citizen. 2. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are also eligible to apply but they are not entitled to claim any reservation. The candidates who are not Kerala origin and even their parents also dont have any residence proof of Kerala, but satisfying the following candidates: 1. Passed their qualifying examination from Kerala and Parents are posted in Kerala and employee of defense or central government. 2. The candidates whose parents are serving/served Kerala Government for a period of 2 years and appearing/appeared qualifying examination from Kerala will come in this category and eligible for applying. 3. In case, if the candidate is not the permanent resident of Kerala but spent 5 years of his/her study in Kerala then he/she is also eligible. 4. Those who do not have domicile certificate of Kerala but completed/pursuing their 8th to 12th studies from Kerala are also eligible for KEAM.

Q:   What is the age limit to appear for KEAM for engineering?

A:

Candidates who are willing to apply for KEAM should have completed 17 years of age as of December 31, 2023. Only those candidates are eligible to appear for the entrance exam who have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2024. Candidates shall not be awarded any relaxation in the minimum age requirement. There is no upper age limit to apply for KEAM. Out of the total seats available for admission in various courses through this entrance exam, some seats will be reserved for different categories.

Q:   What education qualification is required to apply for KEAM?

A:

The educational qualification for KEAM will be different for various engineering programmes offered. However, the minimum eligibility criteria is that a candidate should have passed Class 12 with Science subjects. Qualification for engineering courses: Candidates are eligible to apply for programmes such as B.Tech (Ag. Engineering. ). And B.Tech (Food engineering. ). And B.Tech (Dairy Science & Technology) if they fulfil the below-mentioned criteria: Must have cleared the HSC exam of Kerala or equivalent from a recognised board. Must have secured a minimum 50% marks in Mathematics, as well as 50% aggregate in Physics and Chemistry. However, candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognised as equivalent thereto, with 45% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges. In case, a candidate has not studied Chemistry. The marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry. Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered The marks as shown in the mark list of the qualifying examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for determining academic eligibility. Qualification for B.Tech (DSc & Tech): Candidates are eligible to apply under this category if they have: Passed HSC exam of Kerala or its equivalent with 50% marks in Mathematics or Biology. Secured an aggregate of 50% in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. Such candidates will need to pursue a make-up course in Basic Mathematics (2+0) credits or Applied Biology (1+1) credit as the case may be.

The application fee for KEAM 2024 can be checked for different categories below:

Note:

  • ST candidates whose annual family income is below Rs 40,000 can fall under SC/ST category.
  • Candidates choosing 'Dubai' as Examination Centre will have to remit an additional fee of INR 12000 by way of online payment. The additional fee can also be remitted by way of e-challan, in the designated post offices in Kerala, if payment is made inside India. Such candidates should give a local contact number, if available, in their application in the appropriate place.

A:

The application fee for KEAM is as follows: Engineering only/ B.Pharma only/both: General: INR 700 and SC: INR 300. Architecture only/Medical & Allied only/both: General: INR 500 and SC: INR 200. Both the streams: General: INR 900 and SC: INR 400.

The followings are some of the reasons that may lead to the rejection of your KEAM Application. If the uploaded Photograph does not adhere to the specification given in the menu How to Upload? If Applicants uploaded Signature is NOT clear or/and not genuine. If authentic proof for Nativity and Date of Birth and Class X Certificate are NOT uploaded in the application portal. If the required Application Fee meant for each category (General or SC) is NOT paid through the proper channel.

Following are the types of steps available for KEAM application form: Registration: In this step, candidates have to register online on the official website CEE Kerala - cee. Kerala. Gov. In. Candidates have to provide the basic details and create an application number and password to login at various stages of admission. Filling KEAM application form: Candidates have to provide their personal, educational, income, and reservation details in the application. Uploading of images: Next, they have to upload scanned images of photographs and signatures with the given dimensions. Photograph, signature and left thumb impression should be 150 pixels and 100 pixels in height with 10-30 kb. Paying the application fee: candidates have to pay the fee online. Taking a printout of the application form: After payment, candidates have to take a printout of the application form. Candidates must also note that proforma (s) should also be printed along with the application. Print out the application form should not be sent to the CEE office.

Steps to fill KEAM Application Form 2024

To know how to fill KEAM application form go through the steps below: 

Step 1: Registration

The KEAM 2024 application form will be available online on the official website of KEAM at https://cee.kerala.gov.in/. The online KEAM 2024 registration is a one-time process. During the process, candidates get a system-generated KEAM application number. Candidates have to enter their own password when demanded at the time of KEAM registration. Preferably a strong password is recommended. The requirements of a strong password are as follows: 

  • minimum length of 8 characters
  • minimum of one alphabet character [a-z or A-Z]
  • minimum of one number (0-9)
  • minimum of one symbol [! @ # $ % ^ & * ]

Candidates will have to re-enter the password for confirming the same.

In order to successfully register for KEAM 2024, candidates need to create a login. The login is required to proceed through all other stages of online submission. In order to create login, a candidate should provide their KEAM application number and password, as mentioned at the time of exam registration.

.Step 2: Filling details in KEAM application form

Candidates can apply and submit the KEAM application form 2024 online for all courses. Candidates need to fill all the basic information in the KEAM application form, such as:

  • name
  • education
  • date of birth
  • email ID
  • phone number as well as other information prescribed by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations

Candidates should fill out the exam application form thoroughly. Any mistake in filling this form or if the candidate provides false/incomplete/wrong information then will affect the candidate’s eligibility for admission or claim for reservation under any category. It is obligatory that the candidate should fill all the items in the application.

If the application is filled completely, candidates can preview the details of the application before going to the 'Final Submission', by clicking the ‘Save & Preview' button. If the candidate is sure that he has filled in all the correct information then he/she should click the link ‘Final Submission’.

Documents required while filling out KEAM Application Form 2024

Following is the list of documents and details required by candidates while filling the KEAM application.

  • Valid e-mail ID and mobile number
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof for Nativity
  • Proof for Date of Birth
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate/Community Certificate
  • Certificate for Special Reservation claim
  • Income Certificate
  • Other Certificates – Candidate having other claims, such as NRI, Minority, etc., can upload the required certificates through the portal

Step 3: Uploading of images

After filling all the details in the application form of KEAM 2024, candidates will have to upload their recent passport size photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression, all in jpeg format of given specifications.

Step 4: Payment of the KEAM application fee

In this step, candidates have to provide payment details of the application fee. Any candidate who does not belong to the SC community will be treated as general category candidate for the collection of the application fee.

Payment Mode:

  • Online Payment: Using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net banking.
  • Post Office Payment: Payment at all Head and Sub Post Offices in Kerala state by using e-Challan generated during online submission of application. 

Step 5: Take a printout of the KEAM application

The candidate should take a printout of the online submitted application which contains all the information provided by the candidate. Candidates should also get photocopies of the course certificate and nativity certificates provided in the application for further admission process. Do not send a confirmation pages or supporting certificates to the CEE office.

KEAM 2024 Registration Status

Candidates can check the status of their KEAM application form on the official website of CEE. To view the same, candidates will have to login to the website using their KEAM login credentials.

Following are the types of statuses available for candidates:

  • Registration: Indicates candidate’s registration for online application.
  • Upload Images: This shows whether the images of the photograph, signature, and thumb impression are uploaded to the portal.
  • Fill Application: Indicates the application is filled up and finally submitted.
  • Pay Application Fee: Indicates whether the CEE office has received payment confirmation.
  • Print Application: Denotes whether the printout of the application is taken or not by the candidate.
  • Received by CEE: This status indicates whether the CEE office has received and taken up the application for scrutiny. If the status is green, it means the application is taken up for scrutiny.

The green signal against the status type states that the step has been successfully conducted. However, the red signal against the same states that the step is yet to be performed.

Reasons for Rejection of the KEAM 2024 Application Form

The followings are some of the reasons that may lead to the rejection of your KEAM Application.

  1. If the uploaded Photograph does not adhere to the specification given in the menu ‘How to Upload?’.
  2. If Applicant’s uploaded Signature is NOT clear or/and not genuine.
  3. If authentic proof for Nativity and Date of Birth and Class X Certificate are NOT uploaded in the application portal.
  4. If the required Application Fee meant for each category (General or SC) is NOT paid through the proper channel.

KEAM 2024 Application Form Correction

Candidates who have submitted online applications for KEAM-2024 can correct their Photo, Signature and Name online at KEAM 2024 official website by logging in using their KEAM Application Number and Password.

Those candidates, who have any defects in their Photo, and Signature can view the defects by clicking the menu item ‘Memo details’ provided on the profile page. Candidates can rectify the defects in their Photo and Signature by uploading the correct Photo/Signature. Candidates who have defects in their ‘Name’ can inform the matter through e-mail (ceekinfo.cee@kerala.gov.in) before the deadline.

How to correct details in KEAM application form?
