KEAM 2024 Dates: The Commissioner for Entrance Exam (CEE) Kerela will announce the KEAM 2024 dates. CEE will announce the KEAM 2024 exam date, application form dates and complete schedule via an official notification on the official website. The KEAM 2024 exam is expected to be held in May and the online KEAM application form can be released in March 2024. KEAM is an offline state-level entrance exam held for admission to UG engineering courses only. 10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for the exam to be admitted to various colleges in Kerela that are approved by the Central and State Regulatory Bodies, Universities and Government. KEAM 2024 Exam Date

CEE announces the KEAM exam date and time for both papers 1 and 2. KEAM entrance exam is conducted in Kerela, Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai. The offline entrance test is held for admission to engineering courses at various colleges in Kerela that are approved by the Central and State Regulatory Bodies, Universities and Government. In KEAM questions are asked from Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. There are 2 papers in KEAM, Paper 1 consists of questions asked from Physics and Chemistry, while Paper 1 contains questions from Mathematics.

Q:   Do I need to appear for both the papers of KEAM?

A:

A candidate not appearing in any one of the papers in KEAM will be disqualified and will not be considered for ranking in Engineering Entrance Examination. In other words, appearance in the two relevant papers: Paper I Physics & Chemistry and Paper II - Mathematics is compulsory for being considered in the Engineering rank list. The KEAM Engineering Entrance Examination will be objective type with Multiple Choice Questions and based on single response. For each question, five suggested answers would be given, of which only one will be the most appropriate response. The candidate will have to select and mark the alphabet (A, B, C, D or E) corresponding to the most appropriate response in the OMR Answer Sheet. The standard of KEAM will be that of Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations.

Q:   What is the duration of KEAM exam?

A:

There will be 2 papers in KEAM paper 1 will be Physics and Chemistry. Paper 2 will be Maths. Paper 1 will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm, and paper 2 will be held from 2:30 pm to 5 pm. Thus, each papers will be of 2 hours 30 minutes. There will be 2 papers of 960 marks in total. Each paper carries 120 questions of 480 marks. KEAM scores for rank list preparation will be based on equal weightage of 50:50 to the score obtained in the KEAM Entrance Examination for Engineering (Paper I & Paper II put together), and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

Q:   How many questions will be there in KEAM?

A:
There will be a total of 240 questions in KEAM 2023 exam. Each paper will contain 120 questions. The exam pattern is as follows: Exam Mode: Offline (pen-paper based), Number of Papers: 2. Paper 1 will consist of questions asked from Physics and Chemistry while Paper-II will contain questions from Mathematics, Question Paper type: Objective (MCQs), there will be 5 options against each question, Total no. Of questions per paper: 120, Marks awarded for correct answer: 4, Marks deducted for wrong answer: 1, Total marks per paper: 480, Exam duration for each paper: 2 hours 30 minutes. Question will be asked from all three subjects Physics Chemistry & Mathematics. KEAM syllabus is based on class 11 and 12 examinations. The weightage of the subjects in KEAM 2023 will be 5:3:2 in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Q:   What is the mode of KEAM exam?

A:

KEAM exam mode is offline. The number of papers in the exam is 2. The type of questions in the exam is MCQ type. There will be 5 options against each question. The total number of questions per paper is 120. The marks awarded for correct answer is 4 and the marks deducted for wrong answer is 1. The total marks per paper is 480. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.

KEAM 2024 Dates: Pre-Exam Events

KEAM 2024 application dates: CEE Kerala releases the KEAM 2024 application form in online mode only. Candidates must submit the application form within the given timelines.

KEAM 2024 hall ticket downloading date: The hall ticket of KEAM 2024 is issued in online mode. Candidates can download the KEAM hall ticket 2024 till the exam day. However, candidates must take one or more printouts of the hall ticket for future reference. 

Q:   When will the KEAM admit card release?

A:

KEAM admit card will release in May 2024, tentatively. On the day of the exam candidates will have to carry the KEAM admit card to take entry at the exam hall. All those candidates who have registered for the exam will be able to download their KEAM admit card online by submitting their application number and password. KEAM admit card includes details like the candidate's name, father's name, exam date, exam time, test centre address etc. Before downloading the KEAM hall ticket , candidates are advised to crosscheck all the details mentioned on it. The admit card of KEAM is one of the most important documents without which candidates will not be able to appear in KEAM . Besides being used on exam day, KEAM admit card will be required during the exam counselling process as well.

Q:   Is there any form correction window for KEAM? What are the dates for the same?

A:

KEAM 2024 application form correction window will open after the form submission process is over. The form correction window opens for corrections and verifications of Name, Signature and Photograph. Candidates who have submitted online applications for KEAM-2024 can correct their Photo, Signature and Name online at KEAM 2024 official website by logging in using their KEAM Application Number and Password. Those candidates, who have any defects in their Photo, and Signature can view the defects by clicking the menu item Memo details provided on the profile page. Candidates can rectify the defects in their Photo and Signature by uploading the correct Photo/Signature. Candidates who have defects in their Name can inform the matter through e-mail as provided on the official website before the deadline.

Q:   What is the last date to download the KEAM admit card?

A:

The KEAM admit card will be available until the day of the exam. KEAM hall ticket is made available online only at the official website for the registered candidates. The KEAM rank list is prepared based on marks of qualifying exam marks and KEAM marks. The weightage of the qualifying exam marks and KEAM marks varies for rank lists PDF for Engineering, Architecture, B.Pharma MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BSMS / BUMS / Agriculture / Forestry / Veterinary / Co-operation & Banking / Climate Change & Environmental Science/ B.Tech Biotechnology (under KAU) / Fisheries and B.A. MS Equal weightage of 50:50 shall be given to the score obtained in the Entrance Examination for Engineering (Paper I & Paper II put together), and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, after effecting the standardization procedure.

KEAM 2024 Dates: Post Exam Events

KEAM 2024 answer key dates: The CEE Kerala releases the KEAM answer key for papers 1 and 2 on the official website. Candidates have to raise objections against the KEAM 2024 answer key by sending their objections to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations along with supporting documents and a fee of INR 100 per question by way of DD drawn in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram, by post or hand delivery.

KEAM 2024 result date: CEE Kerala publishes the result on the official website. CEE Kerala also publishes the rank list of KEAM 2024 after entering class 12 marks by qualified candidates. The KEAM result can be checked by using their application number and password.

KEAM counselling 2024 dates: The KEAM counselling is held in online mode only. Candidates who qualify for the exam counselling can seek admission into the participating colleges.

Q:   What is the last date to challenge KEAM answer key?

A:

The last date to challenge KEAM  answer key will be in May 2024. CEE releases the KEAM answer key online in PDF format. The provisional KEAM answer key is also made available for challenges. After the challenges are received, they are scrutinised and a final KEAM answer key is released. To challenge, candidates can follow the steps below: 1. Submit in writing about the challenge to the CEE along with supporting documents. 2. With it, attach a DD of INR 100 per question in favour of CEE, payable at Thiruvananthapuram, within 5 days from the date of publication of the answer keys on the website of the CEE. If the complaint filed is found to be genuine, the fee remitted while filing the complaint will be refunded. Complaints received after the stipulated date and without the requisite fee will not be considered under any circumstances. Complaints received by E-mail/Fax will not be considered on any account. The objection window is made available on the official website after the release of answer keys for KEAM. Submitted objections are scrutinized by the expert committee at CEE. The authorities will then release the KEAM final answer key. The final answer keys released will not be subjected to any revision. The decision made will be final. No further objections will be entertained on the same. Based on the final answer key, KEAM result shall be calculated.

Q:   When will CEE Kerala announce KEAM counselling dates?

A:

KEAM 2024 counselling schedule will be announced after the result is out. CEE will hold the KEAM counselling online only. Through KEAM 2024 counselling, candidates can seek admission into the KEAM participating colleges. Eligible candidates will be allotted seats through KEAM counselling 2024 on the basis of the KEAM rank list, marks data entered and availability of seats in a particular college. KEAM 2024 seat allotment is done through a Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) based on the ranks obtained by candidates in the entrance test. Candidates who receive an allotment letter should remit the fee/balance fee (if applicable) payable to CEE in any of the Head Post Offices in Kerala or by way of online payment. After the KEAM 2024 counselling rounds, the online mop-up round is conducted for vacant seats.

Q:   When will the result of KEAM exam be declared?

A:

KEAM  results will be announced in June 2024. CEE Kerala publishes the result on the official website. CEE Kerala also publishes the rank list of KEAM after entering class 12 marks by qualified candidates. The KEAM result can be checked by using their application number and password. Based on KEAM scores and qualifying exam scores, the KEAM rank list is prepared.
