The time required to cover the JEXPO syllabus would vary for every student; however, it is recommended by the experts that students also prepare within two to three months of the exam's start date. The JEXPO syllabus was based on Mathematics and Physical Science up to Class X as prescribed by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE). JEXPO is conducted for admission to undergraduate Diplomacourses in Engineering & Technology offered in the various government and private Polytechnicinstitutions of the state. 

The authorities have scrapped the JEXPO exam. Admissions are now done based on the qualifying exam's merit list. Candidates should focus on their qualifying exams only and apply for JEXPO once the form gos live.

JEXPO 2025 exam will be conducted in offline pen-and-paper mode. Candidates who appeared for the exam were provided with OMR sheets to mark their responses. The documents required at the examination hall were original photo ID, including an Aadhaar card, admit card, certificate of madhyamik or equivalent, voter ID, driving licence, PAN card, passport, bank passbook, or any photo ID issued by the government.

The authorities have discontinued the JEXPO exam. Admission to participating colleges will be done on the basis of the qualifying exam. The topics include Trigonometry, Algebra, Mensuration, Geometry, Coordinate Geometry, and Statistics

The JEXPO Exam is conducted every year by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education for  candidates willing to get admission to the West Bengal Polytechnic College. The JEXPO exam has been discontinued. Admissions are based on the qualifying examination only. Earlier, syllabus included Number Systems & Algebra, Linear Equations & Ratios, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability.

The syllabus for JEXPO 2025 will be released by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE). It is a state-level entrance examination. It is advised to the candidates to prepare for the examination as per the JEXPO 2025 syllabus. Some of the key topics in the Physical Science subject for the JEXPO 2025 exam have been listed below:

Physics: Laws of Motion, Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Electronic Devices, etc.

Chemistry: Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry, States of Matter, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding & Molecular Structure, Chemical Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements, p-Block Elements, Organic Chemistry, etc.

The JEXPO Syllabus is released by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE). No, it is not at all mandatory to attempt all the questions of the JEXPO entrance examination. All the questions will be asked in Multiple Choice Question format in JEXPO exam. In total 100 questions are asked and each carry one mark. There is no negative marking in the JEXPO examination. Candidates need to compete the exam in two hours. Also, more than one answer against any question will be treated as incorrect response/wrong answer. 

According to the Information Brochure, there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

JEXPO comprises 100 multiple choice questions. Each question carry one mark. The duration of the examination is two hours or 120 minutes. The exam starts at 10 am in the morning and conclude at 12 noon.  In the OMR Answer Sheet, appropriate circles are to be ‘completely filled’ by using BLACK / BLUE BALL-POINT pen. More than one answer against any question will be treated as incorrect response / wrong answer. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer.
