JEXPO Syllabus 2025 - West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTE) has scrapped the JEXPO exam. Admissions are now based on the qualifying exam results. Therefore, there is no JEXPO syllabus. Candidates who apply for admission through JEXPO will be admitted to the institutes as per the state merit list prepared for all the registered candidates.

JEXPO is a state-level entrance exam to get admission inDiplomacourses offered in the state of West Bengal. The examination is also known by the name of the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics. Every year, several candidates appear in the exam and qualify with good scores. If it is prepared well, then none of the candidates feel the syllabus is tough. It is based on the class tenth level, and the syllabus comprises mathematics and physicalSciencesections. The JEXPO is a diploma-level entrance exam; therefore, the authority will not ask complex questions. Good command of the basics will lead to good marks in the exam. The time required to cover the JEXPO syllabus would vary for every student; however, it is recommended by the experts that students also prepare within two to three months of the exam's start date. The JEXPO syllabus was based on Mathematics and Physical Science up to Class X as prescribed by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE). JEXPO is conducted for admission to undergraduate Diplomacourses in Engineering & Technology offered in the various government and private Polytechnicinstitutions of the state.

Practice mock tests, understand the entire syllabus and exam pattern, solve previous year papers, etc.

JEXPO 2025 exam will be conducted in offline pen-and-paper mode. Candidates who appeared for the exam were provided with OMR sheets to mark their responses. The documents required at the examination hall were original photo ID, including an Aadhaar card, admit card, certificate of madhyamik or equivalent, voter ID, driving licence, PAN card, passport, bank passbook, or any photo ID issued by the government.

Q:   Is there any negative marking for unattempted questions in JEXPO?
A: 

According to the Information Brochure, there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Q:   How many questions are asked in JEXPO exam?
A: 

JEXPO comprises 100 multiple choice questions. Each question carry one mark. The duration of the examination is two hours or 120 minutes. The exam starts at 10 am in the morning and conclude at 12 noon.  In the OMR Answer Sheet, appropriate circles are to be ‘completely filled’ by using BLACK / BLUE BALL-POINT pen. More than one answer against any question will be treated as incorrect response / wrong answer. There will be no negative marking for wrong answer.

Q:   Is it mandatory to attempt all the questions in the JEXPO exam?
A: 

No, it is not at all mandatory to attempt all the questions of the JEXPO entrance examination. All the questions will be asked in Multiple Choice Question format in JEXPO exam. In total 100 questions are asked and each carry one mark. There is no negative marking in the JEXPO examination. Candidates need to compete the exam in two hours. Also, more than one answer against any question will be treated as incorrect response/wrong answer.
