MHTCET MTech application form 2025: Registrations for MHTCET MTech are now closed. The DTE, Maharashtra conducted the MHTCET MTech counselling 2025 in four rounds. Online application form was made available for each round separately. Candidates willing to apply had to fill and submit the form before the last date. 

The MHTCET MTech 2025 application form consists of steps like registration, filling details, uploading documents and certificates, and application fee payment. Who can Apply for Maharashtra MTech 2025?

It is essential that the candidate applying for Maharashtra MTech 2025 should know the eligibility criteria. The candidates fulfilling the admission criteria can apply for Maharashtra MTech.

Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate are listed below. 

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in the field of engineering or pharmacy from the All India Council for Technical Education, or a central/state government-approved institution with a minimum percentage of 50% (45% for candidates with  Disabilities, Backward Class, and Economically Weaker categories).
  • The candidate should fulfil the admission eligibility criteria as specified by the concerned university for which admission is being sought.  
  • Qualified or non-qualified score in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology.
  • The candidates who get more than the qualifying score in GATE have a better chance of admission to Maharashtra MTech.
  • For sponsored candidates, a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in the relevant field is required. 

Eligibility Criteria for NRI/OCI/PIO, Children of Indian workers in Gulf Countries (CIWGC), foreign national (FN) Candidates 

  • The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in the relevant field of engineering and technology from an institution approved by the Central/State Government or from the All India Council for Technical Education, or with an equivalent degree, with at least 50% marks.
  • The candidate must have graduated with a bachelor's degree in the relevant field of engineering and technology, as per the university's eligibility criteria for a postgraduate degree program.
  • Any other criteria defined by the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions Act, are declared from time to time by the appropriate authority.

Home University

Type A

  1. Applicants must have completed their HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Technology and the qualifying examination at any institution in Maharashtra.
  2. Applicants must be born in Maharashtra or domiciled in Maharashtra.

The location of the qualifying examination must be under the jurisdiction of the respective University Area.

Type B

Applicants whose father/mother is a domicile of  Maharashtra with a domicile certificate.

The authority responsible for issuing domicile certificates must be under the jurisdiction of the respective university area.

Type C

Applicants whose father/mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India undertaking, posted to Maharashtra, and who reported to duty prior to the deadline for Maharashtra MTech application forms

The posting location of either parent must be within the jurisdiction of the respective university area.

Type D

Applicants whose parent is an employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra undertaking.

The parent's place of posting must be within the jurisdiction of the university area.

Type E

Applicants must have completed their HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Technology and the qualifying examination at any institution in Maharashtra Karnataka border. 

Applicants will be considered for outside-home university or state-level seats.

Complete the Step-by-Step Guide to fill Maharashtra MTech 2025 Application Form

The official website to fill Maharashtra MTech counselling application form is www.mahacet.org. Candidates can follow the process below to complete - 

  • Start with the registration process and submit it with correction information. 
  • Now, students need to add their educational qualification details like marks obtained, GATE scores, etc. 
  • If any applicant has work experience, enter those details.
  • Upload photo and signature documents according to exam guidelines.
  • Pay the MHTCET MTech counselling fees through netbanking/credit card/debit card or UPI
