Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) prescribes the CSEET exam pattern 2025. ICSI will be conducting CSEET in remote proctored mode. The exam pattern mentions the number of questions, names of sections, and marking scheme for CSEET 2025 exam.  Candidates preparing for CSEET exam must check the exam pattern before devising the preparation strategy.

Q:   What is the total score in CSEET?
A: 

CSEET total marks are 200 marks. The question is divided intor four sections: Business Communication, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment, and Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude. For every correct answer candidates will get one or two marks. There will be no negative marking.

Q:   What are the prerequisites for CSEET online proctored examination?
A: 
Candidates appearing for the CSEET online proctored examination must ensure to fulfill the following technical requirements to appear for the exam without any hassle and avoid any technical glitches. Check the list below to know the IT/Software requirements for online proctored examination: 1. Windows 10 (Pro, Enterprise, and Education editions) or Windows 8 2. 2 Core Processor 3. 4 GB or above RAM 4. 1024*768 screen resolution 5. Chrome the latest version 6. Web camera 7. Microphone 8. Minimum 64 MB graphics 9. Stable internet connection 10. Proper internet speed 11. Antivirus to be disabled and be re-installed post the examination, 12. Download Anydesk 13- Download Safe Exam Browser or SEBLite.

Q:   Is Viva voice removed from the CSEET exam?
A: 

Yes, in view of the CSEET Remote Proctored Mode, the Viva Voce section stands canceled since the exam was conducted on August 20, 2020. Whereas, the Multiple Choice Questions of the CSEET question paper shall remain the same as per the existing CSEET exam pattern. Recently, ICSI has introduced the CSEET new exam pattern under new syllabus 2022. According to the CSEET 2023 exam pattern (revised), the question paper will be divided into four parts- Part 1- Business Communication Part 2- Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude Part 3- Economic and Business Environment Part 4- Current Affairs.

Q:   What is the duration of CSEET exam?
A: 

ICSI conduct CSEET examination for two hours (120 minutes). Candidates have to attempt 200 Multiple Choice Questions in given time. Candidates will not be given extra time under any condition. The question paper will be submitted once the duration is over. ICSI conducts the CSEET exam in remote proctored mode. 

Q:   Is there any negative marking in the CSEET exam?
A: 

No, there will be no negative marking in CSEET exam. For every correct answer candidates will be given one or two marks for each question.

  2. Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude
    • Subpart A- Legal Aptitude - 30 marks
    • Subpart B- Logical Reasoning- 20 marks

Q:   What is the process of appearing for CSEET exam in online proctored mode?

  1. After logging in, candidates must read the instructions carefully.
  2. Each question is the CSEET question paper will have four alternative answers marked as A, B, C and D. Candidates must choose one option and mark the same
  3. Candidates can make changes in chosen answer by simply clicking on the other option
  4. Candidates must not click on 'End Test' tab without answering the questions
  5. Countdown clock will start as soon as the exam is started
  6. During the Test, the candidates can use the Marked for Review option by clicking on Marked for Review button
Q:   What are the important guidelines to appear for CSEET exam?
A: 

CSEET 2025 exam will be conducted in remote proctored mode. Candidates appearing for the CSEET exam must ensure to follow the exam day guidelines mentioned below:

  1. Download the Safe Exam Browser or SEBLite on the laptop/desktop from which the candidate will be appearing for exam.
  2. Candidates will be examined online continuously like they are invigilated at the exam centre.
  3. Before appearing for the exam candidates must ensure to keep the required documents ready to avoid any last-minute hassle.
  4. Candidates must log in for the exam 30 minutes prior to the given time for the examination.
  5. Candidates will not be permitted to take the test 15 minutes after the commencement of test.

Q:   What actions can lead to the disqualification of the candidate during the CSEET online proctored examination?
A: 

If candidates are found to be violating the guidelines during the test or trying to practice unfair means, the data will be collected automatically and will automatically notify the live proctor under the following circumstances:

  1. Focus changed to another window: candidate is on other tab than test window.
  2. Candidate using older version of browser
  3. Webcam is disabled
  4. Candidate's face is not visible
  5. Faces other than of candidate Infront of the camera
  6. Face not matching the candidate's profile
  7. Microphone is on mute or volume is low and several background noises can be heard
  8. Screen activities are not shared
  9. Second display is used; additional monitor
  10. Full screen mode is disabled.
Q:   Which items are prohibited during CSEET exam?
A: 
CSEET exam is conducted in online proctored mode. In this mode of examination candidates will be able to take the exam form their own laptops/desktops. In such a case, no candidate shall be allowed to keep with him/her any book, study material, handwritten or printed notes, mobile phone, headphone, earphone, pager, digital diary, calculator, blue tooth device, laptop, palmtop, smart watch, health band or any other electronic device or gadget. Also, candidates are also not allowed to use pencil/ pen and Paper for the online test. No person, other than the CSEET registered candidate, shall be present for the test. Candidate should not talk to any one during the test or read questions / answers aloud. If found, such candidates will be disqualified.
Q:   How should I login for CSEET exam?
A: 

Candidates who will register for the CSEET 2025 exam will be sent exam link and login details. Candidates must use details to begin test. The details will be sent on email address or via SMS. CSEET May 2025 session examination is scheduled to be held on November 08. Candidates are sent link and details for CSEET exam two-three days before date of examination. Candidates must have a good internet connection and latest browser to avoid any interruptions while logging in. Candidates are advised to log in 30 minutes before given time of examination.

Q:   What should I do if there are disruptions during the CSEET online examination?
A: 
In case of disruptions during the CSEET online examination viz. , No network connection, no internet connectivity, power disruptions, network disconnection due to Wi-Fi disabled, or any other such scenarios, candidates will be allowed to log in again. Candidates will be able to continue the test from the last question attempted. All the answers are saved automatically. In such cases, the remote proctor will keep a tab. Candidates must ensure to log in immediately after getting logout. Additionally, candidates will be given extra 15 minutes to compensate for the time loss if there are any disruptions with the permission of the live proctor. Candidates practicing any unfair means will be disqualified. Candidates must ensure to follow the exam day guidelines for the smooth conduct of the exam.
