ISI Admission Test 2025 application process for the academic session 2025-2026 in ongoing. The registration process is completely online and candidates need to register themselves first. Aspirants who are appearing for the examination are advised to check the eligibility criteria conscientiously before applying for the application form. The last date for filling out the ISI Admission Test 2025 registration form was March 31, 2025.

Exam authorities will also mention the general eligibility and course-specific (in the particular university) eligibility criteria in the information brochure. The ISI Admission Test online application window will remain open for a period of a month or so. The ISI Admission Test 2025 application fee will diverge on the factors of category and number of subject papers filled by the candidates. The application fee for the ISI Admission Test is paid online, through a Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking or UPI.

Candidates will also get the opportunity to edit the ISI admission Test 2025 application form. Candidates who had earlier filled out the application form with some incorrect details will be able to edit the information details of the registration form. ISI Admission Test 2025 application correction dates will be notified in the due course time.

NOTE: Candidates must note that admissions to the Bachelor of Statistical Data Sciences (BSDS) will be made through JEE Main and CUET UG exams.

How to apply for ISI Admission Test 2025

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps on how to apply for the ISI admission test. 

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI)- https://admission.isical.ac.in/. Once you have landed on the homepage of the website click on 'ISI Admissions'.

Step 2: Once the candidates have clicked on the admissions page, the candidate will be directed to a new tab. 

Step 3: Click on 'Apply Now' which will be written on the page. 

Step 4: Register and fill in all the details as required.

Step 4: Fill and submit the application form. Candidates will have to fill in their personal and academic details.

Step 5: Once the details are filled in correctly, candidates will have to upload their images. 

Step 6: Pay the application fee.

Step 7: Once all the formalities have been completed, the candidate will have an application number that will be generated. It will be used to download the admit card and check the results of the ISI Admission Test.

  • 3-year Bachelor of Statistics (Hons): Successful completion of 10+2 years of Higher SecondaryEducation (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects. (Offered at Kolkata)Stipend: INR5000/- per month.
  • 3-year Bachelor of Mathematics (Hons): Successful completion of 10+2 years of Higher SecondaryEducation (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects. (Offered at Bengaluru)Stipend: INR5000/- per month.
  • 2-year Master of Statistics: a bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration, in any discipline. (Offered at Delhi)
    Stipend: INR 8000/- per month.
  • 2-year Master of Mathematics: a bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration, in any discipline. (Offered at Kolkata and Bengaluru)
    Stipend: INR 8000/- per month.
  • 2-year Master of Science in Quantitative Economics: a bachelor’s degree of three or more years’duration, in any discipline. (Offered at Kolkata and Delhi)
    Stipend: INR 8000/- per month. 
  • 2-year Master of Science in Quality Management Science: a bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration, in any discipline. (Offered at Bengaluru and Hyderabad)
    Stipend: INR 8000/- per month.
  • 2-year Master of Science in Library and Information Science: a bachelor’s degree of three or more years’ duration, in any discipline. (Offered at Bengaluru)
    Stipend: INR 8000/- per month.
  • 2-year Master of Technology in Computer Science: (i) a 4-year B.Tech./B.E. (or equivalent) degree in any stream or, (ii) a master's degree in any subject and have passed Mathematics
    at the 10+2 level. (Offered at Kolkata)
    Stipend: INR 12400/- per month.

A candidate with a valid GATE score above a threshold (to be decided by the Selection Committee)in his/ her own subject is eligible for admission through direct interview. For details, please

  •  2-year Master of Technology in Quality, Reliability & Operations Research: (i) a master's degree in Statistics with Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level or (ii) a master's degree in Mathematics with Statistics as a subject at the undergraduate or post-graduate level and Physics and Chemistry at the (10+2) level or (iii) a B.E./ B.Tech degree or any other qualificationconsidered equivalent (such as AMIE). (Offered at Kolkata)
    Stipend: INR12400/- per month.
  • 1-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics: (i) a 3-year bachelor's degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject or, (ii) a B.E./ B.Tech. degree or any other qualification considered equivalent (such as AMIE). (Offered at ISI NE Centre at Tezpur and at Chennai. 50% seats at Tezpur are reserved for domiciled candidates of the North-East states of India)
    Stipend: INR 3000/- per month ONLY for students domiciled in the North-East States of India.

Q:   How do I fill ISI Admission Test 2026 application form?

The applicant must initially register at the ISI Application Portal. An account will be created for the applicant in the portal, through which she/he can conveniently ll up the application form and also make payment of the application fee after submission of the form. After completion of application, the applicant will be able to pay the application fee through the payment gateway. Payment can be made in the online mode (See application portal for details).

Once the candidate has registered in the Application Portal, veri ed the e-mail address, lled up Category information and chosen an Academic Programme, the portal will show only the relevant Admission Channels to the candidate.

Q:   What is the permanent resident/domicile reservation criteria for ISI Admission Test?
A: 

Validity of EWS and OBC-NCL certi cate, Permanent Resident/ Domicile certi cate and PwD certi cate:

  • Category certi cates (EWS and OBC-NCL), Permanent Resident/ Domicile Certi cate for domiciles of North-East states of India and PwD certi cates must be valid on the day of the ISI Admission Test scheduled on 12 May 2024.
  •  At the time of application, the candidates must upload a document that will remain valid on the day of the ISI Admission Test to be held on 12 May 2024.
  • The candidates will be given an opportunity to update the Category related information (EWS, OBC-NCL status), North-East domicile status and PwD information during 14-15 May, 2024 after the ISI admission test.
