Before applying for the RRB JE 2025, candidates must check the eligibility criteria laid down by the examination authority in terms of age, educational qualification, and nationality.

RRB JE Age Relaxation 2025

* It is to be noted that the date of birth filled by the candidate in their application should be the same as recorded in their Matriculation/SSLC or an equivalent certificate. No subsequent request for change in date of birth will be considered. Any difference in the date of birth will lead to disqualification of the candidate.

The RRB JE Application Form 2025 will be made available online. The application fee for the RRB JE exam is INR 500 for all candidates except fee concession categories, while it is INR 250 for PwBD, Female, Transgender, Ex-Servicemen, SC, ST, Minority Communities, and Economically Backward Class. Candidates who will attend the RRB JE CBT 1st stage will be refunded their examination fee. The window to modify the RRB JE application form is made available after the application process closes. The application process comprises the following stages:

1. Official Website: Visit the RRBs official website
2. Create an account: Candidates need to first "Create an account" for CEN through the link provided on the official website of RRB. They should have an active personal mobile number and a valid email ID for receiving OTPs for account creation. Also, there is no provision to change the details filled in the 'Create an Account' form, including the mobile number and email ID.
3. Online Application: If a candidate has already created an account for CENs, then there should be the same account credentials to log in and apply for it. Provide Details: Candidates need to enter all the personal details, including name, date of birth, and contact information, to complete the registration process. Double-check the information mentioned by the candidate while filling the application form. Verify the email ID and phone number by entering the OTP sent to the registered contact information. So, in the future, all the updates and notifications will be received.

RRB JE 2025 Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay the RRB JE 2025 application fee and it varies as per the categories. Details are mentioned below:

Selected candidates for the Junior Engineer (JE) position by the RRB are paid as per the 7th Pay Commission. The pay scale is Level 6. Grade Pay is INR 4200. The pay band is INR 35,400 to INR 112,400. Names of the posts that lie in this pay band are RRB Junior Engineer (JE), EEB Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).

House Rent Allowances (HRA)

 Tier 1 cities: 24% HRA + TA of INR 3,600 + Current DA on TA

Tier 2 cities: 18% HRA + TA of INR 1,800 + Current DA on TA

Tier 3 cities: 8% HRA + TA of INR 1,800 + Current DA on TA

TA is Transport Allowance

RRB JE 2025 Salary Calculation & Deductions

Basic: INR 35, 400

DA: 35,400 X 17% = INR 6,018

HRA: 35, 400 X 24% = INR 8,496

TA: 3,600 + 3,600 X 17% = 3,600 + 612 = 4,212

RRB JE Gross Salary (35,400 + 6,018 + 8,496 + 4,212) = INR 54, 126

In the in-hand salary, EPF and NPS is deducted which is shown below:

NPS is 10% of Basic salary = INR 3,540

Professional tax = INR 200

CGIS = INR 30

Total Deductions = INR 3,770

RRB JE (in hand salary) =  INR 54,126 – INR 3,770 = INR 50,356 (approx.)

Candidates are required to apply in an online mode by visiting the official website of RRBs. Also, candidates can apply to only one RRB and only one common online application in order of preference for any or all the notified posts. The selection of RRB once exercised shall be final. A candidate's application to more than one RRB will lead to rejection of all the applications.

The RRB JE recruitment process comprises the below mentioned stages:

1. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1)
2. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2)
3. Document Verification (DV)
4. Medical Examination (ME)

All the information related to the RRB JE examination schedule and venues will be provided to the eligible candidates in due course via RRB websites, SMS, or email. Also, requests for the postponement of any of the stages or for a change of the venue, date, and shift will not be entertained under any circumstances.

The first stage of CBT is screening in nature, and the standard questions for the CBT will be generally in conformity with the educational standards or minimum technical qualifications prescribed for the posts. However, the normalized score of the first-stage exam shall be used only for shortlisting candidates for the second-stage exam as per their merit.
