SSC CGL 2026 Dates: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) closed the application process of the SSC CGL 2026 on June 25. The SSC CGL application form was released along with the notification on May 21. The last date for application fee payment online was June 26. The  SSC CGL application correction window was opened from July 1 to 3, 2026. A total of 12,256 vacancies are announced. The Tier 1 SSC CGL exam will be held tenatively in August-September 2026 and Tier 2 will be held in December 2026.

 The Commission will release the City intimation slip only a week before the exam start date and the SSC CGL admit card will be released only three days before the exam start date. Candidates can check below the SSC CGL important dates 2026.

Q:   Is the SSC CGL application fee refundable?
A: 
No, the SSC CGL application fee, once paid is non-refundable. The fee once paid cannot be refunded at any point in time. The Commission mentioned that the application fee will not be refunded even when the candidates withdraw their applications. The Commission does not refund the application fee under any condition. There is no provision provided for the refund of application fee. Such facility was provided by UPSC earlier under the application withdrawal scheme.
