IBPS Dates 2024:  The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the IBPS PO Interview Call Letter on February 12, 2024. To download the call letter the candidates need to log in to their registered account on the official website-ibps.in using their application number and date of birth. 

Earlier, the IBPS Calendar 2024 was released on January 15, 2024. IBPS Calendar 2024 states that the IBPS PO preliminary test will take place on October 19 and 20, 2024. The date of the mains exam is November 30, 2024. The preliminary exam for IBPS Clerks will take place on August 24, 25, and 31, 2024. The date of the major exam is October 13, 2024.

On August 3, 4, 10, 17, and 18, 2024, the IBPS RRB preliminary exam for Office Assistant and Officers Scale 1 will take place. Officers Scale 2 and 3 will have a single online exam on September 29, 2024. On September 29, 2024, there will be an IBPS RRB PO mains test. The primary examination for Office Assistants

The Mains exam carries questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The Mains test paper carries descriptive-type questions too from English Language (Letter Writing and Essay). The duration of the test is 3 hours 30 minutes with sectional timings. The total marks allotted to the test are 225. The marks obtained in the Mains exam are counted for the final merit list. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are called for interview.

 

Q:   Is there any probation period for IBPS PO?

Yes, candidates selected for the post of IBPS PO will be on probation for two years. During probation, the performance of candidates is assessed. They need to undergo training in the various branches. On successful completion of training, candidates are confirmed to the position of Probationary Officers. During the probation period, candidates are trained on various banking services. They are also required to undergo certain banking courses. The pay scale of candidates is INR 23,700-(980 x 7) -30,560-(1145 x 2)-32850-(1310 x 7)-42,020. The basic salary of IBPS PO is INR 36,000. Besides the salary, candidates are also entitled to various perks and benefits.

 

Q:   When will IBPS Clerk 2023 exam be conducted?

A:

IBPS Clerk prelims exam was conducted on August 26, 27 and September 3, 2023. The Mains exam was conducted on October 7, 2023. IBPS informed the exam dates for IBPS Clerk exam through its annual calendar. Candidates must keep the exam dates handy so that they do not miss any important event pertaining to the exam. In 2022, the prelims exam of IBPS Clerk was conducted on August 28, September 3 and 4, 2022. The Mains exam was conducted on October 8, 2022. The prelims exam of IBPS Clerk comprises three sections-Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and English Language. The test carries 100 marks. The mains exam comprises four sections-General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. Yes, you can apply for any bank vacancy without passing the IBPS exam. IBPS is only required for PSU Banks. All other private banks hire individually. Thus, you still have a lot of banks to apply to without the IBPS exam.
