UPTET 2025 Exam Postponed: New Dates Soon, Get Complete Exam Schedule Here

The Commission will soon release the new exam dates for the UPTET exam on its portal - updeled.gov.in. The candidates can see below the important events of the exam:

The Commission is expected to release the new UPTET exam dates after the meeting of its core committee. The following are some of the important events related to the UPTET exam.

• Notification: It will be released soon at updeled.gov.in in the form of PDF which will contain important details like the application process, eligibility criteria, important dates, etc.
• Application form: It will be announced after the issue of notification in an online mode for the eligible candidates.
• The admit card will be released around ten days prior to the examination. Candidates need to download the hall ticket and carry it to the exam centre.
• The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test exam will be held in two shifts for Paper 1 and 2. 
• The answer key will be released just after the conduct of the exam. 
• The result will be declared after the completion of the assessment process in the form of a scorecard containing the marks obtained by candidates.

UP TET Educational Qualification for Paper 1 & Paper 2 

The education qualification differs for Papers 1 and 2. Have a look at the detailed criteria below: 

UPTET Paper 1 Educational Qualification (Primary Teacher) 

Candidates need to fulfil any one of the eligibility conditions mentioned below in terms of educational qualification in order to appear for the UPTET Paper 1:

• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education Or,
• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) Or,
• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education) Or,
• Graduation and passed/ appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education Or,
• Graduation with BEd (final year appearing or passed)

UPTET Paper 2 Educational Qualification (Upper Primary Teacher) 

Candidates need to fulfil any one of the eligibility criteria given below in terms of educational qualification in order to appear for the UPTET Paper 2 :

• Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education Or,
• Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd Or,
• Graduation with at least 45 per cent marks and a one-year BEd Or,
• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BElEd Or,
• Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks with a four-year BA/ BScEd/ BAEd/ BScEd

The UP Education Service Selection Commission will soon release the exam notification and mention the application details in it. The candidates will be able to apply for the UPTET exam by registering on the official website. However, the UPTET application form link will be provided for registration in this article. 

How to Apply for UPTET 2025?

• Upload scanned photograph and signature  
• Pay the application fee 
• Download the confirmation page and takeout print for future reference 

The Uttar Prades Education Service Selection Commission will soon release the details about the UPTET selection process in the exam notification. The candidates can see below the Selection process for UPTET 2025:

• UPTET exam is taken for two papers - paper 1 and paper 2.
• Paper 1 exam is taken to determine eligibility of candidates to teach in primary schools and paper 2 exam is taken to determine eligibility of candidates to teach in upper primary schools of Uttar Pradesh.
• To qualify for UPTET 2025 exam, candidates need to secure 60 per cent marks in general category.
• Candidates in other categories have to secure at least 55 per cent to qualify for exam
• Candidate who will qualify for exam will be awarded UPTET certificate by the UPBEB .
• The certificate for UPTET is valid for a lifetime after the new guidelines of NCTE . Earlier, the certificate was valid for 5 years.

The candidates who will be recruited as primary or upper primary teachers in UP government board schools will be getting salaries based on the structure fixed by the UP government. The structure for the primary and upper primary teachers has been given below:

• Primary teachers get grade pay between INR 4200. The candidates will get approx INR 37000 as in-hand salary
• Upper Primary Teachers get grade pay between INR 4600. The candidates who will be recruited as upper primary teachers will get approx INR 40,000 to 45,000 as in-hand salary
