RRB NTPC 2022 Result: Important Changes

The important changes announced related to RRB NTPC result 2022 are given below:

  • In case of shortfall in empanelment of candidates, RRB reserves the right to utilize the candidates down the merit list if required, as per the merit and option of the candidates
  • The normalized score of 1st Stage CBT was used for short listing of candidates for CBT 2 exam as per their merit

  • 20 times unique candidates were selected for CBT 2

RRB NTPC Result: What if I Forget Password?

To retrieve the password for checking RRB NTPC scorecard, candidates need to follow the steps given below:

  • In the result login page, candidates at the bottom of the page will find the tab 'Forgot Password'
  • Clicking that tab, candidates will be asked to fill in certain details
  • An OTP will be sent on the candidate's mobile number, enter OTP and click on submit button
  • After this, you will be able to retrieve the password

RRB NTPC Minimum Qualifying Marks

To qualify RRB NTPC exam, candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks as per their categories. The percentage of qualifying marks is relaxed by two per cent for PwBD in case of a shortage of candidates against the vacancies. The category-wise minimum qualifying marks are given below.

RRB NTPC Result 2022: Score Calculation

The scores of candidates in RRB NTPC exam are calculated as per the marking scheme prescribed by the RRBs. The scores of candidates are calculated in the following manner:

  • For correct answers, candidates are given one mark
  • For the incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted
  • The scores are calculated based on the number of correct answers after deducting the penalty for the wrong response

RRB NTPC Normalisation of Marks

Candidates for various stages are shortlisted based on the normalised marks obtained by them in CBT. The normalisation process is followed since the CBT is conducted in multiple sessions. The normalisation is done for first stage CBT, second stage CBT and CBAT. This process is done to adjust the difficulty level of question papers across different sessions. RRBs had revised the normalisation process. The marks obtained in the exam are calculated on the basis of an average score of the top one per cent of the candidates, considering all shifts. The marks are calculated up to five decimal places.

RRB NTPC CBT 1 Result 

The CBT 1 is qualifying in nature. This stage comprises three sections, General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The total mark of the exam is 100. The normalized score of CBT 1 is used to shortlist candidates for CBT 2 as per their merits.

RRB NTPC CBT 2 Result 

Candidates 20 times the number of category-wise vacancies are selected for this stage based on the performance in the first stage. The score of candidates for this stage is calculated out of 120 marks. Candidates need to secure the qualifying marks to qualify at this stage. Candidates qualifying this stage will be shortlisted for document verification, Typing Skill Test/Computer-based Aptitude Test (As per the posts).

RRB NTPC CBAT Result 

Candidates eight times the number of vacancies of Station Master (SM)/Traffic Assistant (TA) for each of the communities i.e. UR, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and EWS (including ExSM) will be shortlisted for this stage based on the performance in CBT 2. The test comprises several test batteries and candidates need to qualify for each test battery. Candidates need to secure a minimum score of 42 marks in each test battery to qualify. The minimum qualifying marks are applicable irrespective of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen. The merit list of SM/TA is drawn from among the candidates qualifying the CBAT by giving 70 per cent weightage to CBT 2 and 30 per cent weightage in CBAT.

RRB NTPC Result for Typing Skill Test (TST)

For the posts of Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper, Typing Skill Test (TST) is conducted. This stage is qualifying in nature and marks obtained in this test are not added for preparing the merit list. Candidates eight times the number of vacancies are called for this stage based on their performance in CBT 2.

RRB NTPC Result for Document Verification

On the basis of the performance in CBT 2 only and performance in both CBT 2 and CBAT/TST (as per the posts), candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification. In addition, candidates equal to 50 per cent of the number of vacancies for various posts are called for document verification. The appointment of candidates is subjected to clearing the Medical Fitness Test.

RRB NTPC Final Result

RRB NTPC final result is announced based on the performance in CBT 1, CBT 2, CBAT and/or Typing Skill Test and/or Aptitude Test (wherever applicable). Candidates are also required to qualify the document verification process and medical test.

RRB NTPC Result 2022: Tie-Breaking Policy

In case candidates secure the same marks, the following tie-breaking policy is adopted:

  • In case of two or more candidates secure the same marks, the merit is determined based on the age criteria, older candidates are placed at higher merit
  • In case the age is the same, then alphabetical order (A to Z) of the name is taken into account to break the tie

A: RRB NTPC final result 2022 for Level 2 have been announced by different RRBs. The result has been announced to shortlist candidates for document verification. Q: When RRB NTPC scorecard is released?

A: RRB NTPC scorecard is released along with the result. To download the scorecard, candidates are required to enter user ID and password. The hard copy of the scorecard is not sent to candidates by post.

Q: Is RRB NTPC exam tough?

A: The overall paper of RRB NTPC exam is usually moderate in terms of difficulty level. The General Awareness section is of moderate level. The General Intelligence and Reasoning section is of easy level, while the Mathematics section is of easy to moderate level.

Q: Is CBT 1 NTPC exam qualifying in nature?

A: Yes, RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam is qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in the CBT 1 exam are only used to select candidates for the CBT 2 exam but it is not considered for the final merit list.

A: The qualifying marks are 40 per cent for Gen and EWS candidates, while it is 30 per cent for OBC and SC. The qualifying marks for ST is 25 per cent. Besides the cut off marks, candidates are also required to secure the qualifying marks.

Q: What is normalised score in RRB NTPC exam result? How does normalisation of score works?

A: Whenever exams are held in various shifts, the difficulty level varies. Therefore, the scores are normalised to adjust the difficulty level of question papers across various sessions.  Normalised score are calculated using complex statistical formula which uses inputs such as maximum marks of the candidate's shift, their score, average marks of entire exam, etc. If the candidate's paper was tough their normalised score will be more than the actual score and vice versa.

Q: How much time it takes from exam to the joining in the RRB NTPC exam?

A: After the declaration of RRB NTPC final result, the joining takes atleast six months or one year. It entirely depends on the process of the concerned department. Based on the performance in the CBT 2, CBAT/Typing Test, Document Verification and Medical Exam, candidates are offered allotment.

No, it is not possible to change the chosen language. If you have selected English . As a language then u can't able to change the language in other regional languages. -Go through the tough section
-Candidates must be aware of your strengths and weaknesses while preparing for a long time. Concentrate on the weaker parts. Also, try to answer as many questions about that section as they can.
-Remember the entire syllabus and try to solve the question by topic.
-Candidates must have easier time remembering all the tricks with this.
