- The counselling for NEET PG 2025 has concluded for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma programmes. Dates for the new academic session will be announced shortly.

Aligarh Muslim University, also known as AMU, is a public university, established in Aligarh, UP in 1920. AMU is UGC approved and is accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC. The university is also a member of the AIU. Aligarh Muslim University has been ranked 10th by NIRF ranking 2025 under the 'Universities' category.
Aligarh Muslim University UP offers about 300 courses at UG, PG, PhD and diploma levels. Aligarh Muslim University offers a full-time BSc course at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to AMU for BSc must visit the official website of the University to apply online. AMU BSc admission is completely entrance-based. AMU BA tuition fee ranges between INR 25,500 and INR 40,500. The exact amount depends on the choice of specialisation. The other components included in total AMU fees are hostel fees, medical insurance, mess and other security deposits, etc. It must be noted that the mentioned fee has been sourced from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.
Aligarh Muslim University offers a three-year full-time BSc course at the undergraduate level. Apart from the BSc course, the University also offers BSc (Hons) courses. AMU offers MSc as a two-year postgraduate programme offered in the full-time mode. To be eligible to pursue MSc at AMU, candidates must have scored at least 55% in Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline. Hence, a candidate scoring less that 50% in their graduation degree is not eligible to apply for the programme. Such candidates can pursue MSc at some other college or university. For undergraduate admission to courses, including BA (Hons), BVoc and BSc (Hons) through CUET-UG, candidates must have a valid CUET-UG score. For BA (Hons) admission, candidates must have to attempt the Domain/ General/ Languages sections of CUET while appearing for the entrance test along with the minimum eligibility criteria set by AMU. Final selection for most of the UG and PG courses via CUET is based on candidates' performance in the counselling round. Talking about the minimum eligibility requirement for AMU UG courses, candidates must have passed the Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%. AMU Admission Process and Important Dates 2026
The mode of Aligarh Muslim University course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance scores. The accepted entrance exams are the AMU Entrance Exam, CUET, and others. Candidates willing to get admission must first visit the Aligarh Muslim University official website, which is www.amu.ac.in/. Select the course and pay the total application fee. Fill out and submit the application form with the required information. The documents that must be submitted at the time of physical reporting for provisional admission completion at AMU are as follows:

AMU MBBS cutoff 2025 was released for admission via the NEET entrance exam for various categories under the All India category.
For the General AI quota, candidates need to secure a rank of at least 12762 or lower to be eligible for admission. On the other hand, for the PWD AI category, the cutoff in the last round was 401069. Hence, students need to secure at least 401069 or lower if they belong to the PWD All India category.

The Faculty of Law, AMU is located in Uttar Pradesh India. It offers courses like BA LLB (Bachelor's in Arts with Bachelors in Law) and LLM Programme (Master of Laws). Yes, Aligarh Muslim Univeristy provides a Bachelor of Arts (BA) as full-time UG-level programme. The programme is offered in specialisations, such as Communicative English, English, etc. The university also offers BA (Hons) in certain specialisations. These specialisations include Arabic, Urdu, Chinese, etc. Admission to most BA courses is based on the AMU Entrance Exam scores. However, the university consider CUET UG scores for some BA courses.
AMU has a pre-defined set of eligiblity criteria for admission to the various BSc specialisations that it provides. The eligibility crietra vary across the specialisations. The Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducts its own engineering entrance exam called the AMUEEE (Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Exam) for admission into its BTech programme. As per the official information brochure, there is no limit to the number of attempts for the AMUEEE exam. Rooms are neat, clean, and spacious, with a separate bed table and chair and a separate almirah. In the summer, coolers can be requested by students. Every hostel at AMU has one common room and one reading room. Clean bathrooms with hot and cold water and clean, filtered cold water coolers are also present in every hostel.
