You can retake the exam and increase your chances of receiving the target score by taking a drop year. However, by studying for the same exam, taking a year off means losing another year. You are up against the same rivalry and pressure as previously.
A drop year allows you to prepare for the exam again and it gives you hope of getting the desired score this time. But, taking a year drop means losing another year by preparing for the same exam. You have to face the same competition and stress as you did before.
Candidates have to submit the important documents at the time of counselling. These documents are required for verification purposes. Given below are the list of documents that candidates need to carry for NCHMCT JEE seat allotment:
- Class 12 exam certificate
- Reservation certificate (Category certificate/ PwD certificate/ KM certificate)
- Class 10/ Date of Birth certificate
- NCHMCT JEE 2025 admit card
- NCHMCT JEE 2025 result/scorecard
- NCHMCT JEE 2025 application form
- Medical Certificate
During the NCHMCT JEE counseling process, seats are allocated to candidates based on the following criteria:
- Candidates are ranked based on their performance in the NCHMCT JEE exam. Higher ranks are given priority during the seat allocation process.
- Choice Filling: After registering for counseling, candidates fill in their preferred courses and colleges. The choices made during this step significantly impact seat allocation.
- Seat Availability: The allocation is also dependent on the number of seats available in the chosen courses and colleges. If a preferred choice is fully booked, candidates may be allocated to their next preferred option.
- Category Reservations: Seats are reserved for various categories (e.g., SC, ST, OBC, EWS) as per government norms. This may affect the seat allocation for candidates from different categories.
- Multiple Rounds of Counseling: The counseling process may occur in several rounds. Candidates who do not receive a seat in the initial round may have another chance in subsequent rounds based on their rank and preferences.
- Fee Payment: Once a seat is allocated, candidates must pay the required admission fee to confirm their seat. Failure to do so may result in the seat being offered to another candidate.
- Reporting to Allotted College: After payment, candidates must report to the allotted college for further admission formalities.
These steps ensure a fair and systematic allocation of seats based on merit and candidate preferences. Always check the official NCHMCT website for any updates or specific details regarding the counseling process.
The NCHMCT JEE application fee is not refundable under any circumstances, including withdrawal from the application or non-appearance in the exam. However, a partial refund of INR. 20,000 is available for candidates who cancel their seat allocation after being allotted a seat. This refund is subject to the deduction of INR. 1000 and will be processed within 45 days of the start of the academic session. For more details on the refund policy, refer to the official NCHMCT JEE website.
