Delhi University admission process 2023 is underway. Admission to Delhi University are being done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. The National Testing Agency has released the CUET Result on July 15, exam for which was held between May 21 to June 23. Delhi University has released the first DU CUET cut-off merit list at the official website of the exam. Candidates aspiring to take admission in Delhi University can through the list of top Delhi University colleges as per the NIRF rankings 2023. 

Delhi University admission process 2023 is ongoing. From previous academic session, admission to Delhi University are done through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores. CUET UG exam was conducted in nine phases from May 21 to June 23 by the National Testing Agency. NTA released the CUET Result on July 15. After the CUET result, participating universities are taking admission based on the CUET scores. Delhi University has released the first DU CUET cut-off merit list at the official website of the exam. Candidates willing to take admission in Delhi University can through the list of top Delhi University colleges as per the NIRF rankings 2023. 

As per the latest NIRF rankings, Delhi University has grabbed 11th position. Every year NIRF rankings are Education Ministry. The NIRF rankings 2023 was released on June 5. The (National Institutional Ranking Framework) is released in various categories for different streams, courses, universities and colleges in India. In the NIRF ranking 2023, Delhi University Delhi grabbed 11th position in the top universities category while 17th spot in the research category. Meanwhile, a number of affiliated colleges of Delhi University has bagged top 10 positions in the top 10 colleges categories. Once again Delhi University college Miranda House has bagged first position in NIRF rankings 2023. There are as many as 91 colleges affiliated to the Delhi University.

Delhi University is one of the most prestigious and most sought after Universities in India. DU is popular not just for imparting quality education but also for its good facilties and infrastructure. A number of Delhi University alumni has made a mark in various fields including politics, entertainment industry etc. Be it actors, including Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Rampal, TV personalities, including Arnab Goswami and Nidhi Razdan or even political big wigs including Kapil Sibal, Shashi Tharoor or Mani Shankar Aiyar, all have passed the gates of the wisdom of Delhi University.

Another aspect for which Delhi University is famous is the exceptionally high DU cut-offs that aspirants need to meet to secure admission in a majority of the courses offered by the varsity in streams, including Arts, Commerce and Science.

Established in September 2015, NIRF has ranked colleges based on these criteria/parameters:

Note: Colleges are evaluated out of a total score of 100 in all the above-mentioned NIRF parameters. Also, it is informed that NIRF has not released a separate list of top DU colleges and the list below is prepared by compiling the list of DU colleges that are mentioned in the NIRF Ranking Report 2023.

Until 2022, there were only four categories: Overall, Colleges, Universities, and Research Institutions, and seven subject domains: Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Law, Medical, Architecture, and Dental. However, from this year onwards, NIRF has added one new discipline; i.e. Agriculture and Allied Sectors. The Ministry has also renamed the architecture disciplines ‘Architecture and Planning’.

According to NIRF-Rankings 2023, Miranda House and Lady Shri Ram College for Women of Delhi University are the top two colleges and in the All India Rankings.
