A great college and absolutely worth it for someone who wants to hustle.
Placements: 60 students applied for placements this year and 50 percent got placed. The top recruiting companies are Brain, BCG, McKinsey, DE Shaw, etc. The highest salary package offered is 36.25 LPA. The lowest is 15 LPA. Roles like Associate Consultant, Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, etc., are offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Our library and most of the classrooms are air-conditioned, except for a few. The hostel is currently under construction, and hence many comments about it cannot be made. The college provides grounds for football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, archery, and many more.
Faculty: Faculty are well-educated and helpful with all doubts and clarifications. The teaching quality is great too. The course is rigorous and has great career prospects. Semester exams are often considered difficult. The pass percentage remains low.

One of the best colleges for Economics Hons!
Placements: 103 offers were extended in total across diverse sectors. The highest package for the year 2024-25 was 45 Lacs per annum, while the average stood at 12 Lacs per annum. McKinsey, BCG, Kepler Capital, and Accenture were among the top consulting firms. Nomura and Blackstone were among the financial firms, and firms like Nation with Namo in the public sector.
Infrastructure: The course is simply the best. The faculty is renowned and learned. The student body sparks with talent, confidence, and utter sisterhood. It's a nice experience to be there studying among the most amazing minds of the country. There are labs available with computers for subjects like Econometrics. However, the hostel is a negative point because only the first years are allowed to live in the hostel, and as soon as the second year starts, you are supposed to leave the hostel. However, during the past year, the hostel has still been under construction. The food, I would say, is decent. My personal favorite is the dosa.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. They are extremely articulate in teaching the subject matter and also life lessons. You can always count on their mentorship whenever you feel stuck. There is also a counselor in college where you can seek help in case of distress. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry, but you need to develop some additional skills on your own, like Excel. Economics Hons is considered one of the toughest papers of DU, so yes, it is tough. In economics, Microeconomics was the toughest paper I faced yet!
Other: The course gives a 360-degree view of the world. Economics lies well at the intersection of Science and Arts subjects; hence, you get to know the "how" as well as the "why" of the system.

Magic of LSR - Transforming you from a girl into a woman.
Placements: About 75% of students from economics department are placed. The highest package is 48.9 LPA. The average and lowest packages are 20 LPA and 11 LPA, respectively. Total internships recruited are 66 which are recruited by 14 recruiters. Top internship roles are consulting and strategy roles, finance and investment roles, and other roles in sales and marketing from companies like Kepler Cannon, Botson Consulting Group, KPMG, DE Shaw, and Gartner.
Infrastructure: Overall, infrastructure is top tier compared to other DU colleges. It has free Wi-Fi and libraries with AC. The new building has very well-ventilated classrooms. Campus may seem smaller than the rest but oh boy, the aesthetics. The flowers and greenery are just too beautiful to miss. The medical facilities are good. About sports and games, its the best college if you are into that. However, the mess food does not taste good. You get a main canteen and the food is too oily there, then you have a mother dairy and Nescafe which I feel is a little pricey.
Faculty: Amazing faculty members (you will feel a sense of community in a classroom, a sense of empowerment). Math-oriented course is great for future prospects. Academic oriented while also balancing with great fests. LSR will give an identity and empowerment. Great diversity on the campus, you will find people from each state of India. The course is not easy so you need to study really well, if you want a good GPA or even want to pass the imposter syndrome. So many smart people around you will be a pressure.
Other: Know one thing, the competition is very high even in recruitment for societies. Crowd is really smart, intelligent, and some are strongly opinionated ladies. The connectivity is not much though since its located in Lajpat Nagar. There are no DU colleges around, but the area does not have much to offer except moolchand parantha. Fests and ECA are great and all societies are very active. The admin staffs are some really polite people, you get your work done without much hassle.

Best college, placements, and faculty members. The best decision to be in.
Placements: Placements are nice in LSR. More than 50% of students are placed from my department. The highest package is 20 LPA, and the lowest package is 6 LPA. Recruiting companies - BCG, Gartner, DE Shaw, KPMG, Aditya Birla, Accenture, etc. 10% of students got internships from my department. Top roles offered are business analyst, consultant, investment banker, etc.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure, so it is newly constructed, and offers almost every facility like Wi-Fi, computer labs, AC, libraries, grounds, canteen, basketball court, gymnastics, etc. Hostel is currently closed and is generally available for 1st year students. The food quality is good in canteen, we have Mother Dairy and Nescafe as well.
Faculty: Teachers in LSR are highly qualified, almost everyone has done their studies from tier 1 colleges. They are very knowledgeable and help a lot. Economics Honours is a real practical course, which makes their students industry-ready, and societies in LSR are the cherry on the cake, and help students with live projects, etc. Semester exams are moderate to high level. Pass percentage is 40%.

Magic of LSR is true in all senses.
Placements: About 75% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 49 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 11 LPA. The average salary package offered is 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Brain, BCG, McKinsey, KPMG, EY, Blackstone, DE Shaw, and PwC visit the college for placements. About 60% of students get summer internships in all the above-mentioned companies. Roles offered are analyst, market risk, internal audit, consulting, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides Wi-Fi all around, clean ventilated classrooms, projector, 2-floor library, and hygienic canteen. The hostel quality is vast. Mess food is tasty and is varied. Medical facilities are quick. Sports and games facilities are top-notch. It is only for girls but still, there is a lot of fun. There is no judging on campus, and we can just be there.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Their teaching quality is helpful for students. Their problem-solving sessions are very helpful. Economics Honours is very relevant in today's market and it provides great jobs. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: If anyone likes economics and has a mathematical brain opt for economics honours as it is highly rewarding. One thing I wish was better in my course is some of the reading. Extracurricular activities, fest, connectivity, etc., are better and better than any DU college.

LSR: The college that changed my life.
Placements: In my course, around 30% students of students got placed this time in big companies. The highest salary package offered is 60 LPA. Internships are provided in EY and other big companies. Top roles offered in my course are data analyst, risk analyst, and observatory jobs. World Bank and Bank of American are among top institutions.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library are provided in the college. The infrastructure is great. The hostel is temporarily closed due to renovation. It is not open.
Faculty: Due to the new education policy, the curriculum is changed. The authors have also changed the curriculum. The curriculum is perfect according to me. It does not make students industry-ready. It provides subjective knowledge. Semester exams are easy. Faculty members are stubborn sometimes, but if we go after them, we can get our things done in no time.
Other: I chose this course because I love economics.

Best women college in Delhi University
Placements: There were companies like BCG, Blackstone, Nomura, Accenture in the 2024 placement session. LSR offers very good placement. The highest package went till 36 LPA this year. It generally provides great placement if you are prepared for it, then there is a higher chance that you will get placed.
Infrastructure: LSR infrastructure is good. We have a cafe, medical rooms, and Wi-Fi. Classrooms have projectors too. The hostel is not functional as of now. In sports, there are different games like judo, basketball, tennis, volleyball, etc. So overall it's great and has everything you need.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are great at LSR for other courses too. As per the new education policy, you will get a chance to learn some technical subjects too, so overall it's great for most of the courses available at LSR. Teachers are always there to help you whenever you face any issue.

LSR college review as a 1st-year student.
Placements: Yes, the placement of LSR is tremendous, with a student from the Economics department being offered 49 LPA, which was the highest in the whole of Delhi University. According to last year's placements, the average package stood at 11.8 LPA, and the median package stood at 9.4 LPA. Jobs were offered by top companies like McKinsey & Co., Boston Consulting Group, and Kepler Cannon.
Infrastructure: The new academic block has huge classrooms to accommodate around 60-75 students. Each classroom has a projector and whiteboards with well-ventilated windows. The classes for tutorials are quite small, and often students have to sit outside the class. The library is well-functioning as it provides almost all the books that the students need. The overall infrastructure is just like Delhi University, i.e., red walls. We also have a canteen and Nescafe, which has a huge menu. Yes, the college has a hostel, but it is not functional as of now.
Faculty: The faculty of LSR is quite knowledgeable, and they offer so much to the students. They are professional when it comes to studies, but they are helpful as well. They make time from their schedule to clear the doubts of students regarding studies or otherwise. All the faculty members have completed their graduation and post-graduation from well-known colleges in their fields. Most of the teachers who teach theory subjects teach through presentations. As for my course, i.e., BA (Hons.) Economics, the curriculum is curated in such a way that all the theory is based on real-life examples.
Other: The main reason why students choose LSR as their priority is academics. The campus is as still and peaceful as it could be. You can find any corner of the campus, and you will find no noise surrounding you. You will be there with the greenery and nature. Yes, the campus is filled with nature, greenery, and friendly animals.

Hello, as per the norms of DU best four is considered for admission to DU. For BA economics. You must have maths, and economics in class 12,if you don't have economics then there will be deduction of percentage 2.5% from your best four percentage. You can take your desired subjects including maths.
