NLSAT 2027 registration process will tentatively begin in February 2027. NLSIU Bangalore will release the NLSAT 2027 application form online. Interested and eligible students seeking admission to the 3-year LLB course can find NLSAT 2027 apply online link at nls.ac.in. The complete process is online, and no offline application request will be accepted. The NLSAT 2027 eligibility criteria highlight that candidates who have already completed their graduation or are currently in their final semester exams can apply online. The NLSAT exam is an offline, 150-minute exam with Part A (Objective) and Part B (Subjective), both carrying 75 marks each. How to apply for NLSAT 2027?

NLSAT 2027 eligibility criteria highlight that students having atleast 40% marks in their graduation are eligible to appear for the exam. The NLSAT 2027 Application Form will be available on the website. Candidates who want to apply for the NLSAT law entrance exam have to submit the form before the last date. To fill out the NLSAT application form 2027 online, follow the application process as given below.

  • Go- nlsatadmissions.nls.ac.in.
  • Click on Apply Now. 
  • Click on Register.
  • Enter details, such as Name, Mobile Number, and Email Address to register.
  • Verify the mobile number and email address.
  • In the application form, fill in the details and pay the application fee.
  • Submit the application form.

NLSAT Eligibility Criteria 2027

To apply for the NLSAT 2027 program, you must meet the following conditions.

Educational Qualification:

You need a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognised university, either in India or abroad.

Minimum Marks Requirement:

  • General Category: You must have at least 45% total marks in your degree.
  • SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD Category: You must have at least 40% total marks.
  • Final Year Students: If you’re in your final year, you can still apply. But your admission will be confirmed only if you score the required marks after finishing your degree.

Submission of Proof:

You must submit proof of completing your qualifying degree, showing the required marks, before December 31, 2027. These rules ensure every applicant meets the minimum educational requirements for admission.

International Students

If you’re applying as an international student, you can take the NLSAT International Examination if:

  • You are a citizen of a country other than India, and
  • You have completed at least 10 years of education at a school, college, or university outside India.

Documents Required to fill NLSAT Application Form 2027

Students have to enter several personal and academic documents to fill NLSAT 2027 application form. The list of documents required for NLSAT registration 2027 is provided below: 

  • Personal details such as Name, Date of birth, Mobile number, email ID, and password
  • Candidates's Nationality
  • Aadhar number
  • Father’s and Mother’s name
  • Contact details like Mobile number, address, and pincode
  • Education Qualification
  • Status of claim under Ex-servicemen / Children of Ex-servicemen Quota, Sports Quota,  NCC quota.

The application fee payable for the three-year LLB course of NLSIU 2027 admissions is expected to be as follows:

Q:   How can I prepare for NLSAT?
A: 

Candidates were advised to prepare for NLSAT by following the simple steps given below:

  • Make a monthly and weekly timetable and keep the syllabus handy
  • Do not leave any topic, make sure you cover all the topics. Do try and finish on time so you have enough time for revision
  • Pratice as many as mock tests possible. Practice the tests frequently and analyze it to recognize your weak and strong areas. This will help you to know which topic requires work.
Q:   Can I join NLSIU without CLAT?
A: 

Candidates who want to apply to the NLSIU for BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programs must take the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, for admissions into its three-year LLB course, Master's Programme in Public Policy, PhD (Law), and PhD (Interdisciplinary) programmes candidates have to appear for NLSAT. 

Q:   Is NLSAT online or offline?
A: 

The mode of examination is offline. As per the pattern the exam will be conducted in two parts. The part A of the exam will carry objective questions while second part will have subjective based questions. 

Q:   Is there negative marking in NLSAT Exam?
A: 

Yes, the NLSAT Exam (for the 3-Year LLB) has negative marking in Part A (Objective), where you get +1 for correct answers, but -0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer and also for unanswered questions, while Part B (Subjective) generally has no negative marking but requires qualifying Part A first. 

Q:   How many NLSAT preparation books are required to crack the test?
A: 

You can refer to any book you want there is no restrictions on it. The focus should be on quality preparation. You should solve old question papers and take lots of practise tests in addition to consulting the well known literature.

Once downloaded, candidates must keep them safely until admission is over. The hall ticket is a important document that one must not forget to carry to the test center on the day of exam. Those who fail to carry will not be allowed to appear

Q:   Is there any age limit to appear in NLSAT Exam?

Candidates must note that their is no age limit. But to appear in the exam there are certain eligibility criteria that must be completed. You must check it before going ahead with the registration form.
