AILET Exam Dates 2026: NLU Delhi has announced the revised AILET exam 2026 dates in its official notification on July 23, 2025. The registration for AILET was commenced on the official website on August 07, 2025. AILET 2026 exam will be conducted on December 14, 2025 in online mode. Once, the exam is concluded, the authorities will release the AILET exam result along with the merit lists. The merit list will be published on AILET 2026 website. Candidates can check all the important dates related to AILET 2026 below on this page.

AILET Registration Date 2026

The registration for the All India Entrance Test 2026 will commence at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The registration process will be open until 10-Nov-2025. Candidates will be able to fill out the AILET application form online only.

AILET 2026 applications forms will be released on August 7, 2025. Application forms will be made available on official website of National Law University, Delhi. Application process comprises- registration, uploading of relevant documents, and making payment. Candidates must thoroughly understand the application process to avoid any last minute rush. Q:   What are the documents required to apply for AILET?
A: 

Candidates who wish to apply for the AILET Application Form are advised to check the list of documents required to register for AILET before starting the process. The list of documents required to fill out the AILET application form have been mentioned below:

  • Marksheet of Class 10th/ 12th and certificate
  • Graduation mark sheet and certificate (For LLM - if available)
  • Passport size photo with white background (Size should be less than 1 MB, format .jpg/.jpeg)
  • Scanned signature (maximum size 1 MB, format - .jpg/.jpeg)
  • BPL certificate (if you belong to the BPL category) (Max size - 2 MB)
  • Passport (if you belong to a Foreign National (FN) category) (Max size - 2 MB)
  • Your Email Address and valid mobile number
  • Character certificate (Should not be less then 3 month old)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Relevant category certificate (for SC, ST, OBC, J&K category students)

AILET Important Events 2026

Please note that AILET 2026 schedule has not yet been declared. However, candidates can check all the information related to important events below,

  • The AILET application form will tentatively be released in August 2025 online. Candidates will be able to apply in online mode on the official website of NLU Delhi. Candidates can fill out the application form and submit it online only. 
  • The exam authority will issue the AILET 2026 admit card to all candidates who will apply successfully for the AILET 2026. The admit card will tentatively be released in November 2025. 
  • The law entrance exam AILET 2026 will be conducted in December 2025. The exam timings will be notified after the official details provided by the National Law University Delhi
  • The provisional AILET answer key 2026 will be released on the AILET 2026 exam day. First, the exam authority will publish a provisional answer key, and invite objections from all the candidates. Thereafter, it will publish the final answer key after reviewing all the objections and revising the answer key.
  • The AILET 2026 result and merit list will be released after the release of the final answer key. Candidates will be able to download the AILET scorecard from the official website of the exam. 
  • NLU Delhi conducts the AILET counselling to offer admission to shortlisted candidates based on merit and reservation criteria.

Q:   What will happen if I do not qualify AILET exam?
A: 

To qualify for AILET, you will have to score above or equal to the AILET cut-off according to your category. If you do not qualify for the exam, you can reappear for it next year if you want to study BA LLB (Hons.), BCom LLB (Hons.) or LLM at NLU Delhi. If you want to take the exam again, you can opt for one of the following options: 

  • Take other law entrance exams, such as LSAT India, SLAT or any of the state-level law entrance tests. 
  • Apply for admission to colleges accepting AILET scores
  • You can apply for admission to colleges that accept merit-based admission. The merit-based admission process refers to the process in which colleges consider your marks in the qualifying exam (Class 12 marks for UG courses and graduation marks for PG courses). 

Always remember that you should not apply for admission to a college that has not been recognised by UGC.
