No, CLAT is not a compulsory exam to study for LLB. Some other exams include  MHCET LAW, etc. Candidates interested in joining top NLUs can appear for this exam because NLUs only accept CLAT scores. The Consortium of NLUs administers the Common Law Admission Test (or CLAT) on a nationwide basis for admission to 5-year integrated LLB (UG) and 1-year LLM (PG) programmes. Candidates must attempt questions from English, Current Affairs and GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Mathematics for UG course in the offline, pen-and-paper format of the exam.

The last date for the BVP CET entrance examination passed, was on July 27, 2024. Hence, candidates are not able to apply now for admission to the BA LLB course. However, candidates who have secured a valid score in BVP CET are eligible to apply. The university is not accepting a new registration for the BA LLB course. However, if a candidate is an 'existing user' and has secured good scores in the entrance examination. So, they can get admission based on those scores.
