Admissions on

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai, has announced admission process for Post Graduate Diploma in Management programme for 2018-2020.

Admission to the two-year, full-time management programme deemed equivalent to MBA, is based on scores obtained in CAT/XAT/GMAT. This year the cutoff for CAT, XAT and GMAT has been fixed at 85 percentile.

Aspiring candidates, who are to appear in CAT 2017, XAT 2018 and have valid GMAT scores, can apply to SPJIMR online before November 24, 2017.

CAT Eligibility

  • Graduation with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in any subject from a recognized university.
  • The candidate must have completed higher secondary (10+2) schooling.
  • Students who are awaiting their final year Graduation result are also eligible to apply.
  • For applicants who do not have a bachelor’s degree but have completed their CA/ICWA/CS, can also apply. An aggregate of Inter and Final marks will be taken into consideration.
  • Work experience is not mandatory but professional with up to 5 years of experience can also apply.

SPJIMR Application Process:

The application forms are available for download on SPJIMR website. Interested candidates can access the form by signing in as new user.

  • Click on the ‘apply’ tab on PGDM admissions page on SPJIMR website.
  • Enter a valid email address to create a login ID. Remember, all the future communication will take place through the email ID entered, hence the candidate must take care to furnish a valid and functional email ID.
  • Once the application form is completed, the candidate will be required to pay application fee of Rs 1200.
  • The application fee can be paid online through credit card or net banking.

SPJIMR Selection Process:

The candidates will be selected admission on the basis of their academic performance and over all profile. Shortlisting is done in two groups – 1.Profile based and 2.Profile-cum-score based.

First phase interviews are held for candidates who are selected under ‘profile based’ category. Under this category, the following will be taken into consideration:

  • Versatility and achievement

Second phase of interviews will be held for students selected on the basis of scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT.

Note: Work experience is not mandatory for this programme. Both, fresh graduates and candidates having up to five years of work experience can apply.

Final selection will be based on the composite score obtained by a candidate, which includes personal profile, academic record, entrance test score, relevant work experience and performance in SPJIMR interviews.
