IIM Lucknow has announced its admission policy for PGP, PGP-ABM, & PGP-SM 2018-20 batch. The criteria has been released on the official website. CAT 2017 cut off under different category remains the same as last year, but there is a change CAT cutoff for PWD candidates. Sectional and overall CAT percentile cut-off has been reduced by 5 marks for PWD candidates this year.

The selection criteria announced by IIM L will give CAT 2017 aspirants an idea of the institute’s admission policy. Depending on the same, candidates can start their preparations, and aim to secure a seat in the institute.

In this years admission policy, weightage of CAT exam has been fixed at 30 points which is 10 points lower than PI/WAT combined, same as last year. There is no change in the CAT cutoff under different categories as well. Here is an overview:

The final selection of the candidates is done through a two-step process, which takes place after CAT examination. The selection process is as follows:

  • Written Ability Test (WAT)
  • Personal Interview (PI)

Stage 1: Shortlisting for WAT – PI

The selection of candidates shall be done on the basis of CAT 2017 score, past academic performance, and other criteria.

Candidates will have to score atleast 12 out of 40 marks in Personal Interview to qualify. The final merit list will not include the names of the candidates who do not pass the PI.

Yes, IIM Lucknow does consider Class 12 marks while making the merit list for MBA programmes. But, Class 12 marks are only one of the selection parameters. Others include CAT score, UG marks, GDPI performance, extra curricular activities, and more.
