STEP 1: SPJIMR Application Process 2026

STEP 3: Admission Confirmation & Fee Payment
Candidates who pass all selection rounds receive admission confirmation from the institute. Selected aspirants are called for document verification. Aspirants need to pay the SPJIMR fees to confirm their seat.

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research admission is primarily entrance-based. Candidates are first required to register for the programme of their choice. Once the registration is done, the institute shortlists candidates for admission. SP Jain shortlists candidates for PGDM/ PGPM programmes based on CAT/ GMAT scores followed by a personal interview round. Besides, the final selection is based on academic background, versatility and achievements, entrance exam and PI. For FPM, admission is based on the Research Aptitude Test followed by PI. SPJIMR shortlists candidates for its flagship programme i.e. PGDM based on their profiles. The profiles are evaluated, and the applicants are sorted into two groups: Profile-based and Profile-cum-Score-based. In the first phase, candidates shortlisted based on their profile are called for a Personal Interview (PI). However, the second phase is held after the availability of entrance test scores. That means, the institute accepts entrance exam scores as well for admission. The accepted entrance exam for PGDM is CAT/ GMAT. For admission to FPM, aspirants need to appear for Research Aptitude Test followed by a personal interview round. The institute shortlists candidates for admission to GMP based on scores of the candidates in CAT, GMAT, GRE, etc.
Aspirants must hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a recognised university to apply for Global Management Programme at SPJIMR. Candidates can also submit a valid GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ GRE score. Both freshers and experienced are eligible to apply for this course.

SPJIMR FPM Admission 2026
At the doctoral level, SPJIMR offers a full-time Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). Candidates need to appear for Research Aptitude Test (RAT) and a Personal Interview conducted by the institute for admission. The final shortlisting panel will consider candidates' academic qualifications, work experience, profile, motivation, recommendations and fitness with the institute's research profile along with their mission. Candidates are also required to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) along with their research proposal.

FPM or Fellow Programme in Management is a four-year AICTE approve programme offered at the doctoral level by SP Jain. Candidates can pursue the programme in full-time and part-time mode depending on their requirements. Admission to the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) at S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) is strictly based on merit. The assessment of an applicant is on the basis of his/ her profile, the qualifying entrance scores, and the interview process. SPJIMR communicates directly with all the shortlisted candidates.
FPM shortlists candidates based on their entrance exam scores and performance in the personal interview round. The process begins with reviewing the application forms and Research Proposal. The shortlisted applicants go through a two-stage interview process – Research Aptitude Test (RAT) and Personal Interviews. Research Aptitude Test consists of two parts – General Aptitude and Research Aptitude. Besides, the institute also considers scores in CAT, GMAT, GRE, GATE or UGC-JRF. Once selection is done, provisional admission letters are issued to the selected candidates.

Yes, work experience is mandatory for admission to the Executive MBA programme at SPJIMR Mumbai. For admission to the PGEMP, a minimum work experience of five years after a Bachelor's degree is required.
