We have gone through official websites of various colleges to provide you the exact number of seats, but there are several colleges which have not updated their real figures. In such circumstances, we have applied the reservation norms specified by the Government of India. So, you can expect a little change in the number of seats for some colleges.

First in the list comes IIM Ahmedabad, which is one of the most sought after colleges among Post Graduate Master’s Degree Program candidates. The institute, since its inception, has been among the best for its world class education and facility. Moreover, the placement track record is simply outstanding. For last many decades, it has been producing some of the best entrepreneurs and business leaders.

No wonder, it is the one of the top ranked MBA institutes in India. The organization has 194 seats for general candidates.

Next in the list comes a yet another favourite college among candidates – IIM Bangalore. This college has always been the hot favourite on account of its campus, outstanding placement figures and many other features. Alumnus of the college comprises many C-level executives and business tycoons spread across the globe. IIM Bangalore has 193 seats for general candidates, almost equal to that of Ahmedabad.

Then comes IIM Calcutta (Kolkata), third among the trio of IIM ABC. It is among the oldest IIMs, in line with the other two oldest IIMs – Ahmedabad and Bangalore. What gives it an edge over the two is the number of seats. It has the highest number of seats among all the IIMs currently and has 233 seats for general category students. This is a big number as compared to other IIMs.

IIM Lucknow features next in the list. It has 211 seats for general category students. The college has fared quite well over a period of three decades. It has some of the best faculty members. After IIM ABC, it is the top choice for students. The college has a lush green campus along with good infrastructure. The placement is top notch and many big firms visit the campus to hire candidates.

Seats at IIM colleges may change with the increase in the batch size.
